Goofy Foot, founded by the Owner and Instructor, Tim Sherer in Lahaina, Maui in April 1994, was born out of his profound connection with Mother Ocean and his desire to teach the historic Hawaiian sport of surfing. We are devoted to offering professional surfing instruction for students of all proficiencies in an environment that encourages both fun and learning. We strive to provide the best possible experience for our guests, emphasizing the importance of safety, understanding the ocean and mastering the basics of surfing. We assure that our students will ride at least one wave, and we provide them with a smart, technique and fundamental-oriented approach to learning to surf which they can apply to learn quicker independently.

• Students must be 9 years or older to participate in group lessons. For both safety and quality of programming, students 8 years or younger require private instruction (no exceptions).
