Life Experience for the Whole Family! - Amazing!!! As parents with 4 kids we have realized how important food is to our health and wellbeing. We want to give our children the tools they need to navigate the current food system and bringing them to Lā Kāhea open their eyes to holistic nourishment and the symbiotic relationship we should have with the earth. The staff here is obviously passionate about the land and body and it shows in how they incorporate the harvest into the amazing food you learn to prepare. My whole family learned so much and I feel like this will be an inflection point in our lives that will set our kids up for success as young humans and inform how they navigate through life. I highly recommend this tour! ❤️ 🙏🏾

Bomb.com - This was one of our favorite experiences during our maui stay! Our family loved being able to harvest the ingredients, straight from the farm, and prepare it in our meal. Some of the best tortillas I've ever tasted!

An experience to be thankful for. - When we arrived we were asked what we were thankful for, my response was what I couldn't think of anything not to be thankful for. Well, now my thankfulness includes having participated in the Farm to Taco experience. The knowledge and information on the method of farming being practiced was in depth and informative, I don't think there was a question that Jakke couldn't answer and there was nothing to be seen on the farm that he held back. If you know nothing about farming now, you will when you're finished the tour. Then there was Whitney, she took us through a whirlwind tour on making tacos out of the produce we extracted from the earth throughout the tour. You need to pay attention if you hope to replicate the recipe at home, but wow, the end result was gastronomically satisfying. We had a large group and there wasn't an idle hand to be seen when preparing the food. There also wasn't a glum face to be found, we were having fun! Go! Have some fun, and say hi to Jakke, Whitney, and Winsome from me.

Yummy and Sustainable! - La Kahea Community Farms hosts a spectacular cooking class, and is not to be missed on your trip to Maui! The cooking class combines their farm tour with making a delicious lunch, and is great for all ages and dietary restrictions. Winsome, Whitney and Jakke are wonderful hosts! They truly enjoyed getting to know each person on their tour, and made the experience feel personal and inviting. We picked the food that we cooked from their garden, and learned about sustainable, regenerative farming along the way. If you're looking for a cooking class on Maui, THIS IS THE ONE! Mahalo for a great food adventure.

This Is the Farm to Visit - The tour was great - one of the farm owners showed us all of the different types of fruit and vegetables that they grow and let us pick and sample them. We also took what we picked and used it for what we cooked and ate for lunch. The owners have a culinary background and so shared a lot of really cool techniques for preparing the food. It was great - my daughter really enjoyed it.
