Banyan Tree Divers recommends the Scuba Review program for all certified divers who have not been diving for several months, one year, or longer. Your instructor has designed this Maui scuba dive to increase your confidence in shallow water before exploring the beautiful Maui dive sites.

Your Guided Shore Dive in Lahaina begins with a briefing about your dive and safe scuba diving practices. Scuba Review guests will cover equipment assembly and basic skills to be practiced in the ocean at the beginning of the dive.

Your instructor will provide all of the equipment you will need. You are welcome to bring gear of your own, but excellent equipment is provided. Finally, you will head to the ocean for a relaxed, worry-free dive!

THIS IS A DIVE EXPERIENCE SPECIFICALLY FOR CERTIFIED DIVERS: Our diver reservation platform in Maui matches you with a top-rated guide who will personalize your dive trip for maximum comfort and pleasure. Regular sightings include turtles, eels, and reef sharks!

Safely discover Maui’s underpopulated dive locations with a committed guide. Your equipment rental is covered. Diver’s Certification is COMPULSORY and must be shown on your arrival.

Has there been a long gap since your last dive? If so, arrive at 8:30 for a Scuba Review at an additional cost. Your instructor will review gear assembly, safety procedures, and you’ll get to brush up on basic skills before the dive commences. If you would like a refresh course, please select the Scuba Review Enhancement option.

Following your dive briefing and equipment choice, we’ll provide you with directions to the dive site. Please inform us if you do not plan to have a rental car.

We meet our guests each morning at Kahekili Beach Park at 8:30. Once you turn onto Kai Ala Drive follow the road straight to the water where you will see a big parking lot. You will meet your instructor there. Transportation is not included. Please let us know if you will not have a rental car.

Amazing beach dives - My last scuba dive trip was in 2016 and I tend to be a little nervous about the whole thing only just being certified at 43 yrs old. Ms. Caitlin did a thorough review with me and we did practice some important skills prior to our dive. She made me calm and most importantly I felt safe. We saw sea turtles and numerous reef fish even some rare and indigenous species. The reef is teeming with life. I highly recommend for new and experienced divers to sign up with Banyan Tree Divers. Wonderful dives - Caitlin was the most amazing dive master! The ocean was a bit challenging to get in and out that day, but Caitlin was patient and knew the right things to do to get in and out safely. She also found all the cool things like an octopus, two varieties of eel, stonefish and a nudibranch, among others. The whales were singing loudly during the whole dive. An awesome experience!!!

Great shore dive with the best! - Kevin and Caitlin are so easy to work with and incredibly kind, friendly, and all around amazing people! I dove with Kevin in 2017 and had the best experience. I came back to Maui and had to dive with Kevin again. He makes you feel, safe, relaxed, calm. He helped find my first octopus I’ve seen diving! The equipment is top notch and the shore dive is a nice entrance/exit. The dives are beautiful and we saw some amazing things: fish, large turtle, eel, flounder, octopus. You can also hear the whales underwater which was such a cool experience. If you are staying near Westin or anywhere close to K’anapali beach it’s a perfect little walk to the beach they dive from. I hope to make it back to Maui and dive with them again. Until next time! Mahalo!

Advanced scuba certification - I can’t give this company a better review. I had them do an advanced scuba certification. They were totally professional both before when they had to reschedule due to weather, or the first day helping through some breaks getting in the water to making all the dives feel easy and fun Pictures that the guide took and pics they let me capture from their camera. Make the trip more memorable. If you are going to shore dive on Maui take a trip with Banyan Tree Divers.

Excellent Dive with an Awesome Dive Master, Kevin! - Booking the dive and the communication later was very easy. Kevin, the dive master was GREAT. My son loved diving with him. I highly recommend taking the photo package as an add on. Kevin took lots of great pictures and short videos which turned to be great memories.

Great team! Book with them! - I had to change my dive at the last second and they were able to accommodate me! Our dive guide had a wonderful balance of “we’re here to have fun” and maintaining essential safety protocol. Sometimes places are extremely lax, and they threaded the needle perfectly. Will book with them again next time I’m on island

Amazing Experience Diving with Banyan Tree Divers - I dove with Abby on a weekend trip and it was amazing. I’m so sad for Banyan Tree Divers that the LAHAINA fires destroyed their homes. I highly recommend everyone check out BTD once they reopen! The staff and dive leaders communicate really well. Abby’s enthusiasm was contagious. Her photos are amazing and made the trip even more special and memorable. I dove with many companies in the last few years and rate Banyan Tree as the best on Maui. Check them out, support great people. You’ll be glad you did!

Incredible Shore Dives - Wonderful experience for my 15 year old son (relatively new to diving) and me (back to diving after a number of years). We did 2 shore dives and saw an incredible array of fish, a large group of 30+ turtles, and even a shark. Had a small group of only 4 divers, so felt like a private dive. The equipment was perfect and all set up for us on arrival. The guides were very patient, helpful and professional. Highly recommend! Feel free to ask any questions 🙂

Highly Recommend!! - Absolutely fantastic company. A dive master at my local shop recommended Banyan Tree (so right away you know they're legit). They are super chill, communicative, and very reasonably priced. They include rental equipment in the booking fee which I really appreciated! Great vibes and super nice dive masters. I love the comfortable, casual, low key approach. The dive at Mala Wharf was the highlight of my trip to Maui. Can't recommend them enough!
