Great Views! Great Hike! Great Guide - Materuni Waterfall and Coffee Plantation Tour We had an amazing hike with Jackson from Kili Footprints, he is charismatic and genuine and a powerful communicator, he has In-depth knowledge and a whole lot of passion. A tour to Materuni Village and Waterfalls with Jackson is a great way to spend a day away from the bustle of town life. This very impressive Waterfall is one of the tallest in the area, spewing crystal-clear glacier water. Materuni village is at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro. It is worth the trip; the scenic view of Moshi Town and Mount Kilimanjaro is astonishing. This green village with fresh air from green vegetations welcomes visitors to explore the beauty of the land and the cultural heritage of the Chagga people. The tour starts with a walk to Materuni Waterfall. It is an opportunity to see how local fruit like avocados, mangos, lemons, and bananas grow, as well as learn some of the local history, traditions, village economy, agricultural and cultural life. The tour will continue with a visit to the local village lying in the coffee plantations. The villagers will demonstrate the process of coffee farming and guide you through the preparation of coffee from a bean to a cup. Sing and dance along with the Chaga people as they are grinding, roasting and boiling the beans.

Mt Kilimanjaro at its Best - Jackson was amazing. So knowledgeable, friendly and very patient with me (I probably should not have gone. Bad knees, bad back, bad combo! But my daughter had a great time!) I appreciated his pep talks! Kili is stunning. The waterfall was outstanding and the coffee demonstration was cool and fascinating. Absolutely beautiful country. I highly recommend this tour, especially with Jackson!
