As the journey unfolds, the path will take you into the vibrant heart of Matera, from Sasso Barisano to the bustling Piazza Vittorio Veneto. There’s no fixed route — choose your own path — but keep an eye on the time!

During the treasure hunt, uncover some of Matera’s key attractions: the Cathedral, the Church of San Francesco, the underground chambers, and the panoramic Church of Sant’Agostino. This treasure hunt offers a delightful way to explore the city’s rich history and stunning beauty while enjoying yourself!

The meeting point is Tramontano Castle, where the Operator will outline the game rules and provide a map filled with riddles related to the locations participants need to uncover. Participants will have 2 hours to solve these riddles, engaging both their minds and feet — but the reward will be well worth the effort! During the journey, participants will explore hidden spots and discover what the Operator believes are the city’s true treasures.

The Operator will remain at the starting point to offer assistance or hints if necessary. At the adventure’s conclusion, participants will return to the Operator to decode the key and unlock the treasure chest together, while the Operator shares stories and interesting facts about the visited locations.

Everyone will receive a certificate, but only the winner will claim the treasure!
