Very nice your. - Our guide spoke English which we appreciated. He took us around the highlights of Sassi and we had a couple of stops. He was willing to stop so we could take more photos. Very nice experience. Learned about the history.

Must do tour of the Sassi in Matera - This is a great tour to do. We had an awesome guide. With him we were able to gain such a better understanding of how life was, as recently as the 1960’s. The tuk tuk is able to zip around through the narrow streets. We enjoyed it so much that we booked another one that afternoon to see some of the caves outside the town.

Memorable expery - Our Ape driver Antonio was great. His knowledge of Matera and his pleasant demeanour made it a truly memorable experience.

Beautiful experience - Antonio accompanied us with his apecar around the rocks, stopping to show us the most beautiful views and take photos. the tour was phenomenal also because it was done at sunset, so we could see the views with the best light and then at sunset with the lights on. A nativity scene! During the long tour we also visited a beautiful and well-reconstructed cave house and miniature stones - all beautiful. We also visited the church with a beautiful painted wooden ceiling. My 4 year old daughter also had a lot of fun and when she saw Antonio around Matera she ran to say hello. Thanks Antonio. We recommend it.

Apeppecar to visit Matera, Francesco driving to learn and understand - We took advantage of the tour in the ancient city (Sassi) with Francesco driving the carriage. Francesco is very well prepared, capable of transmitting the history and culture of the place. We highly recommend the long tour which allows you to make two stops which I don't want to tell you anything about other than the fact that they are an excellent complement to understanding. We thank Francesco and his availability.

Must do tour in Matera - This tour was incredible. Antonio, our guide gave us so much information about the old Matura and how it is today. His grandparents actually had been living in the old Matera so his information was very genuine. I think this tour is a must if you want to get the most out of this amazing city

Great way to see Matera... - Great way to see Matera with less walking up and down. Good driver with plenty of historical information

Rushed tour - Driver met us at the train station which was greatly appreciated. The driver was very knowledgeable about Matera and we enjoyed the tour. My one criticism is that the driver was continually watching his watch to see how long we took which made you feel pressured and not relaxed to enjoy the old city. I am sure it’s not the tour guides fault but the pressure put in them from the company. It would be better to allow more time so the tour can be appreciated.
