Since the tour starts in the dark, we will turn on LED lights in your crystal-clear kayak, illuminating the water below you.
You will use your headlamps to light up the uninhabited islands and unique landscapes.
Curious about nocturnal wildlife? We never know what might swim beneath our kayak or fly overhead!

Our seasoned tour leaders will impart information about the regional past and our distinct natural habitats, all the while vigilantly scouting for animals.
Our illumination tours take us through the eerie Pirates Cove, notorious for its spectral apparitions. If these apparitions are absent, we will bask in the peaceful atmosphere of nocturnal kayaking with lights that illuminate your completely transparent kayak and the surrounding waters.
- One adult per child under 15 must attend. Children under 15 cannot kayak without an adult.
- While welcome paddlers of all skill levels, kayaking can be a physically demanding activity. Winds, tides and weather can all impact the difficulty of the paddle. Please reach out to us to discuss further if you have questions.
- During peak season from April- September traffic in the Destin Ft. Walton Beach area can cause major slow downs. Please leave ample time to make it to our launch before the start of the tour. We cannot hold the tour for late arrivals.
