Prometheus Cave - Kumistavi owes a famous legend about Amirani for the sonorous naming of the “Cave of Prometheus.”
The legend says that Amirani, like Prometheus, angered the Gods and was punished brutally.
The eagle tormented him, eating his liver; however, unlike the Greek giant, cruel Gods were chained.
Amirani, not to the rock, but inside a massive cave.
Khvamli Mountain is visible from Prometheus Cave, where the legend says Prometheus was chained.
Spectacular views of stalactites, stalagmites, petrified waterfalls, underground rivers, and cave lakes.
The cave has colorful lights, ranging from orange-red to pink and blue.

Beautiful Cave - After a long journey, we visited a very big and beautiful cave and wonderful water falls. Over all good and everyone must visit this cave.

An amazing day trip - Even though I had to wake up super early and the trip was really long, it didn't feel like it at all. In fact, time totally flew - the places we visited were stunning and there were fun activities to try (i.e. Zipline). Our guide, Salome, is the sweetest person ever. She made sure we enjoyed ourselves, took beatiful pictures of us and of course shared interesting insights about Georgia. Budget friendly tours is hands down the best operator in Georgia.

Amazing tour must try - From start to finish, every moment was filled with excitement and wonder. Our tour guide Ana was incredibly knowledgeable, passionate, and made sure everyone had a fantastic time. They went above and beyond to ensure that we got the most out of our experience. Fabulous location - We chose the budget-friendly tour’s Kutaisi Prometheus Martvili Canyon tour in Georgia. Despite the early start and 13-hour duration, this tour is essential for any visitor to Georgia, offering a deep dive into nature's wonders. Our first stop was the Prometheus Caves, ancient caverns dating back 25 million years. Here, we ventured 80 meters underground and capped off the experience with a boat ride towards the end of the cave. Afterwards, a short 30-minute drive took us to the Martvili Canyons, where a boat ( rubber dinghy) ride revealed stunning views of the dramatic landscape. Tourists should note they might need to help row the boat alongside the boatman.
The highlight of our trip was our guide, Salomi, whose energy and attentiveness enhanced our experience. She managed our large group efficiently, took all our photos, allowing us to fully immerse in the scenery, and provided insightful commentary throughout the tour. Salomi's guidance was invaluable, and we highly recommend her for anyone taking this tour.

Wonderful experience - Wonderful experience to the Kutaisi Canyons & Caves. Breathtaking views of the Canyons were out of the world.
Long drive from Tblisi to Kutaisi but worth the visit.

Best Kutaisi experience - Booked Kutaisi tour with Budget friendly tours and it was a great experience. Everything was perfectly organised and Soso and Anna made sure we had a really great experience. The caves and canyon experience was really great and i would advise you to book the tours from them next time. Will visit again.

Kustaisi Canyons a must experience! - We had a beautiful experience to the Kutaisi canyons and caves. It was a long to and fro journey from Tbilisi but once you get there it is breathtakingly beautiful. The canyon experience was surely one of the highlights of our trip to Georgia. Salome was our adorable guide and host and she made the experience amazing for us including clicking some fabulous pictures for our memories 😃 Thanks to Salome for the memories. Also Soso was very gracious to help arrange for our pick up from our Airbnb and have us dropped back late in the night after our return. He made sure we got back safe. Loved the hospitality and the overall magical experience! Thank you Soso and Salome!❤️

Must book trip for 3rd day, beautiful caves and boat trip - Salome was amazing her presence refreshed our long tour from Tiblisi, she was full of energy and kept everyone engaged through overall tour.
