Delightful experience! - The driver Jocelyn was fabulous! He was very fun, an excellent communicator, accommodating, knowledgeable. Avignon was delightful and the wine tasting at Domaine Le Prieure Des Papes was very good! Unfortunately, one of the other guests was clearly sick. She coughed constantly - she should have cancelled. It was extremely inconsiderate of her to subject the other 4 people in the van to her illness. It made the drive very uncomfortable for me.

Great, informative tour! No worries! - We had a great time with Sebastien who was very knowledgeable on the area and history. He was a great driver and provided commentary and answered questions during the 1.5 hour drive. In Avignon he provided great insights on the possibilities and the amount of time each would take. We loved this tour and was a highlight of our vacation! Definitely recommend to anyone visiting Marseille and interested in both wine and medieval history.

Terrific guide and Popes Palace was so neat to see - Excellent private tour guide who drove us and then we independently viewed the cathedral on our own. She got the tickets so there was no waiting. Also had spare time for lunch, and little shopping. Also we didn’t do wine tour since we don’t drink and we had a 6yr old. So instead she did take us for a driving tour of Marseille which was perfect. Plus she took us to a grocery store so we could get a few things before getting back on our cruise ship! Awesome!

More a private car and driver than a full blown tour - was perfect for us! - Our guide was wonderful - very personable and picked us up on time and with sign and name as promised right when we exited ship. We were in the mood to see a quick wine tour stop which candidly on this was more of a vineyard warehouse store tasting stop and not an actual vineyard tour per se though they do offer an audio accompanied walk through which covered the highlights. Then off to Avignon for a wonderful afternoon of lunch, shopping, sightseeing and wandering the beautiful walled city. Really enjoyed our day and our driver once again was so very kind and helpful!

Beautiful wine country and lots of free time - It was a delightful day all around. I was especially impressed by our trip to Châteauneuf du Pape, which is just a beautiful bit of countryside, and the time we spent at the winery there. I have been to a number of wineries before, but never gotten such a personalised tour from the owner herself! I could have stayed in that town for hours, just because of the beauty. Avignon was wonderful in another way; the free time we were given made it possible to have a wonderful lunch, as well as see part of the city. If you are expecting to see everything in one afternoon, you're delusional, but the amount of time gave us a wonderful taste of life there. My only criticism of our time was the fact that we could only spend a day - we were on a cruise - when I would have loved to spend a week!

Great Small group tour - This was a good small group tour. Driver was timely, knowledgeable and answered all our questions. The winery was fun and we learned some new things. We had plenty of free time to explore the castle and have lunch. I would recommend

Outstanding tour in Avignon - Outstanding tour. Our guide, Pierre, was so knowledgeable and friendly. We had booked this as a small group and my husband and I were the only two in the group so we really had a private tour for the day and It allowed us a lot of flexibility. The Church of Notre Dame and the Pope's Palace were both so wonderful and very well worth seeing. Our lunch and wine tasting was just excellent. Given this turned out to be a private tour we were able to attend Sunday mass at Notre Dame in Avignon and that was a beautiful surprise for us. A huge thanks to Pierre for making this such a wonderful day.

Not enough time in Chateauneuf du Pape - Unfortunately we started the tour more than one hour late, however, our experience at the one winery in Chateauneuf du Pape was excellent! It would have been a better tour if there was at least one additional winery visit in the region. The time in Avignon could have been shorter.

Could’ve been better… - My mom and I joined 6 other people on this tour and we all felt that there were definitely some things that could be improved. Morgan was our guide and a very sweet girl but she’s very quiet and her English is a hard to understand. We sat in the back of the van and couldn’t hear or make out anything she was saying about the tour or history of Marseille. Also, she didn’t really set expectations for us so I was a bit surprised when we had to walk through an hour+ long audio tour at the Châteauneuf-du-Pape MUSEUM that was just “ok”. My eagerness to try this wine at the end was met with a disappointing less than 1oz taste of 3 wines (I’m not exaggerating). They didn’t even offer the option to buy a glass. We were all disappointed. When I signed up for a winery tour, my expectation was that we would be outside and get to walk through the winery and bottling operation and then get to DRINK some wine. Unfortunately, this was not the case. Then we were off to Avignon which is really what I feel we ended up paying for. It’s wonderful and we got to walk around for a couple hours and have some lunch on our own. If I were to do it again, I’d skip the museum and so-called “tasting” and just got to Avignon for the day.

Lackluster Activity - This was a very disappointing tour .It wasn't a tour . It was a driver. Lea , from A La Francaise picked us up at 9 on the dot . After her name , we drove in silence to the winery. The winerty is a small museum. They hand you headphones and listen to an explanation of The wine, for 45 minutes. You are then given 3 very small pours, think 2 sips, of the wine. And then leave . Behind us was a 4 euro tasting having normal pours and 5 tastings . We then rushed over Avignon , a quaint walled city, where we had 2hr 15 to tour a castle ( additional 22 euros) eat lunch or shop . Literally impossible. We chose lunch and a stroll. We were given zero information about the city other than the name of a restaurant. Back in the van for 1 hour 15 of more silence. All the opportunities to chat and share information about the area were wasted. If I'd wanted a driver , I would of taken the train. The lack of information combined with the terrible wine tasting made this a wasted day in France .
