A great day trip. Lovely... - A great day trip. Lovely time on Sicily and Mt. Etna. Our guide was great. Kudos to our driver as well. Exception skill on the road. The staff at Myetna Street Food were the best. Great cocktails and food. The staff was friendly and hospitable.

Easy way to see Sicily from Malta - This trip was a good value and everything was covered. I liked the locations chosen. Mt. Etna was fantastic and well worth it to see!

Malta to Sicily tour is an amazing experience!! - Sicily was all I ever imagined it to be!!! It was a long day, starting with boarding the ferry at 5:30 am. Virtu Ferries was an amazing experience! Arriving at Porto di Pozzallo, we then got on a coach with Lora Donna, our tour guide, and Jon Franco, our driver, who shared a beautiful day with us full of Italian countryside as well as a stop in the city of Catania for a couple of hours where we enjoyed the festivities of a marathon and concert in the square as well as street vendors and open air markets. We ate the best pizza ever at the greatest little pizza shop called 3.0 Pizza! Then, we travelled to Mt. Etna, an active volcano, where we rode a cable car up to 8,000 feet above sea level then climbed another 500 feet until we decided we were ill-equipped to go further. Afterwards, we rode the coach back to Porto di Pollazzo and boarded the ferry to return back at Marsa, Malta around 11:30 pm.

Great day out - The tour was very well organised. We were on holidays in Malta with our children. They wanted to visit Italy but we had a short stay so Sicily for the day was the best we could do. They and us had a ball. We were given some two hours or so to look around Taormina and then they took us to Mt Etna. We walked around Sylvester crater. After about an hour or so we were back on the bus for the trip home. Overall if you have a short stay in Malta this is a great way to see some of Sicily.

A unique experience !! - I had my doubhts about doing this tour as it was 15 hours , and I'd be loosing a whole day in Malta. I may have lost a day but gained so much more . The trip ran like clockwork nd the experiences and views were amazing . My only tip is make sure to get a good night's sleep the night before and bring an umbrella/raincoat for Mr. Etna. The weather was bad the day we visited mt.etna but this did not dampen our moods as we were taken away with the views on offer. Plus I'm from Ireland so the damp weather felt like home :) Thanks to the tour guides and bus driver who did a great job looking after us .

So-so - First or all, the catamaran is amazingly clean, orderly and on time. But...the food is expensive and tasteless and there is absolutely noone to keep order on the ship. Kids screaming, running around, parents after them, teenagers screaming, cheering, simply an awful experience. The guide is ok. Have seen many better ones. She does say many basic/general things about the places you will visit, but what I minded was that she doesn't take you from place to place explaining you the things you see, bacground, history, she just shows you the main squares and lets you rome around alone. You have aprox 2h on every location, which is not enough to see things and eat relaxed. You have to rush with everything. The bus was perfect though. Air-conditioning working, comfy and clean. Catania is worth visiting, historical and beautiful. The Etna visit was disappointing. Short, we didn't get enough time to climb to the top. The cable cars quite flimsy. Had no explanation from the tourguide, had to eavesdrop to another guide who actually went with the people he was guiding to learn smth about the site. But seeing it was amazing. Would definitely go, but with another agency.

Catania in 2 words - Without Hope - Tour Guide - knowledgeable and fab. Driver - skilled. Mt Etna - great experience. Catania - a town depressing and without hope! Steeped in history but nothing to carry the youngsters forward into the modern world. I felt anxiety and heart-sore for the youngsters who probably know no difference and are ill equipt to climb out of the modern day poverty. To be honest. I was shocked. When you turn off the main roads from the port you encouter dirty and derelict buildings, fly-tippng, discarded domestic waste, graffiti and tags everywhere! We took the tourist bus/train quite early on during the trip and sat in the 2nd carriage. The roof support to the carriage had been ripped away and we endured the banging and screeching of metal on metal that at times drowned out the multi-linguistic recording of the towns rich history. The Emperors New Clothes came to mind. I struggled to see past the obvious poverty and bleak existence the youngsters faced. I placed my 25 year old son in this environment and know he could never survive, much less thrive. I spent the remainder of the trip heavy-hearted and know the images will stay with me. It was so unexpected and not the kind of experience that can be brushed under the carpet. I would readily forego the Mt Etna experience not to have witnessed Catania.

Nice trip for small kids - Trip to Etna and Modica is really nice if you have small kids with you. Otherwise I don't recommend it at all. 1.5 hrs is not enough to reach to mountain at the highest places, it takes 2 hrs to go up and down again so 2.5 hrs should be enough. While driving back and before visiting Modica the sun was mostly shining against the driving way so was hard to take good photos. From the positive side: if you are with really small kids then 1.5 hrs up in the mountain with no real mountain and 1.5 hrs in Modica is nice to have trip. Otherwise I don't recomment it at all.

DREADFUL RIP OFF - 19 hours for 20 only mins on Mt Etna! Coach OK, Ferry OK, Itinerary...absolute crap. Driven to a Tourist Trap (Taormina) which is still living on it's past links to Colleridge. Pretty enough, but they drop you off at a specific restaurant for 2hrs (the ferry company has an affiliation with them). If you don't want to eat there, you have to wander the streets trying to avoid the souvenir shops and street sellers. Then off to an unscheduled stop at an artisan oil/wine and herb centre (the coach drive had an arrangement with them)...another hour wasted. Eventually arrived at the Cable Car up Mt Etna at 4pm...11 hours after setting off! That was bad enough, but the guide disappeared and when we found and went up using the Cable Car (it takes 20 mins to get up) we were told we only had 20mins before that last car down...unless we wanted to spend another 60 Euros on a truck to take us further up, but Locals advised us not to. Collossal waste of time and money!!!!!!!
