Experience the harmonious Bayou lifestyle of the Cajuns amid the swamps. These waterways serve as their main transportation routes. Whilst enjoying the easy-going atmosphere of our sheltered New Orleans Swamp Tour Boats, you’ll glide by a 2000-year-old Indian Burial Mound, a Cajun graveyard, and a fishing village! Witness the natural inhabitants that make the Barataria Swamps the stand-out feature of the Louisiana Purchase. Within these marshes, you can easily spot birds, snakes, turtles, fur-bearing animals, and alligators - the swamp’s reigning monarch - during Spring, Summer, and Fall.
- Folding wheelchairs are allowed, but the driver is not allowed to pick up a person to help them gain entrance. The customer must get into the minibus by themselves or with assistance from family or friends.
- Please note you are not guaranteed to see a gator. They hibernate in winter months but are easily spotted in spring, summer, and fall.

Informative and fun - This was just what we hoped from the trip. The pick up from the hotel was convenient and the bayou was fascinating for us coming from all the way from Finland to see. Listening to Captain Jason was a real treat and we learned a lot. And got to see some gators! I think this tour is a must for anyone coming from further away.

Convenient, fantastic pickup and tour. - First of all: our bus driver accommodated our group, when one member was in the restroom on her arrival. She picked up others and returned for our group with no problem.
Our guide was fantastic!!! He described everything and incorporated all sightings with enthusiasm, professionalism, and a sense of humor, which made the fantastic tour all the more informative and enjoyable.

Awesome Experience! - The alligator guide and the pre-paid transportation driver to the swamp were awesome. During our ride to the swamp our driver gave us a tourist experience expelling history of the areas we drove through. Once on the boat, you see alligators up and close. The alligator boat driver fed the alligators marshmallows. The bayou/ trees in
the area are beautiful and tranquil. Just amazing!!! I recommend not taking an Uber as I was told that it is difficult to obtain one for return due to drivers not wanting to pick up that far back in that area.

Loved the fact that this... - Loved the fact that this excursion was ADA available; there aren't enough of events that allow wheelchairs to enjoy.

Highlight of my trip - We found this tour on TripAdvisor and picked it because of the fun pictures people had with alligators and the fact that they would pick you up from your hotel ! This was the highlight of our trip! The tour guide was really knowledgeable and let us ask many questions and stopped close to the alligators to show us them up close. It was beautiful! I will warn that it got quite chilly because we were going so fast on the water even though the weather was 70-75.

Don’t miss out on this tour! Please continue to educate us on wildlife - Amazing captain and educator on the big family friendly boat. We appreciate him sharing his experience and teaching us about alligator instincts and habits. We don’t want to end up like another story in Florida. I didn’t catch the captain’s name but I hope he continues his passion. N thank you for sharing your baby wiggles to us! It was an amazing treat!
