Highlights
  • Mississippi River - Travel along the Mississippi River and arrive at the departure location in Marrero, a 35 minute drive outside of New Orleans.
  • Barataria Preserve - You will be introduced to your captain and briefed quickly on procedure inside of the Airboat. Once everyone in the group is prepared to take off you captain will rev the engine.

This particular airport is powered by a 454 Chevy Engine that’s capable of accelerating to speeds as high as 35 miles per hour. The boat is propelled by a large fan behind the boat which can deliver wind speeds of over 200 miles per hour. This tour is fast and loud!

Your tour guide will bring you from location to location around the swamp and make frequent stops for you to have encounters with the wildlife. Chances are you’ll probably have some reptilian visitors. The alligators have no problems making their way to the side of the boat and showing off for the visitors. After the tour of the swamp is complete you will be returned to the original departure location to make your way back to New Orleans.

The Best Airboat tour in the swamp!! - By far the best small-boat airboat tour in the area. I am a NOA native and its the only tour I will take friends from out-of-town on, by far. Great captains; fun, educational, and exciting. Don't book through a tour company - book directly with Louisiana Tour Company for the beat deal. Ask for Captain Trey if possible

Best Time Ever - Rocky was our guide and he was FANTASTIC!!! From the moment we got on the airboat, to returning to the dock!Rocky did his very best to ensure his passengers saw everything in the swamp and marshes. We saw baby alligators to one about 12 feet!! And not just floating, Rocky hand fed marshmallows and chicken parts to the many sizes of gators. My husband and I are 66 and 70, and haven’t done anything that fun and interesting in years!

Amazing and Memorable Day! - First time on the bayou! Our captain was great, 15 years of experience on the water and full of knowledge. We saw a bald eagle and lots of gators! We took the 9:30am tour and drove out to the establishment. I would recommend going earlier to avoid the sun/heat. The facility has adequate parking, restrooms and small gift shop, drinks and snacks. We left the dock at 9:40am and arrived back around 11:20am. After the tour, we went and had lunch at Restaurant des Familles. It's on the way back and about 7-10 mins from the tour location. Highly recommend! You will enjoy a great day experiencing God's creation and eating some great food!
