Highlights
  • Mississippi River - Travel along the Mississippi River and arrive at the departure location in Marrero, a 35 minute drive outside of New Orleans.
  • Barataria Preserve - You will be introduced to your captain and briefed quickly on procedure inside of the Airboat. Once everyone in the group is prepared to take off you captain will rev the engine.

This particular airport is powered by a 454 Chevy Engine that’s capable of accelerating to speeds as high as 35 miles per hour. The boat is propelled by a large fan behind the boat which can deliver wind speeds of over 200 miles per hour. This tour is fast and loud!

Your tour guide will bring you from location to location around the swamp and make frequent stops for you to have encounters with the wildlife. Chances are you’ll probably have some reptilian visitors. The alligators have no problems making their way to the side of the boat and showing off for the visitors. After the tour of the swamp is complete you will be returned to the original departure location to make your way back to New Orleans.

THIS is the airboat ride to book! - We had an absolutely amazing airboat alligator ride. This boat ride was worth every bit of the $89 price. You will see gators, you will go fast, and you will come back saying the exact same thing. That was awesome! We had Captain Rocky and he was great.

Amazing time on the swamps - One of the highlights of our trip. We all had a blast. Our guide was great, even let us hold and pet his baby alligator. I’d consider this a must for anyone visiting for the first time, or has not yet done something like this.

Great airboat ride - This airboat ride was so amazing! It only took us about 30 minutes to drive there from the FQ. Our tour guide was Kenny. We were glad we took the small airboat, less people and it can go through waterways the bigger boats can’t. We saw lots of gators and a bald eagle. Beautiful scenery through the bayou.

Unforgettable memories from the Louisiana Tour Company - What an awesome experience the Small Boat Tour was! Very easy to find, and very easy check-in process. Our tour guide, Rocky was great at navigating the bayou, canals, marsh and swamp, and educated us a lot on the entire eco-system. It was a cool day in March, about 60 degrees, and we saw about 25-30 gators over the course of 90 minutes. The tour guides feed them marshmallows, so the gators aren’t afraid to come right up next to the side of the boat.

Great tour!! - We got transportation from our hotel directly to and from the tour, and that was super convenient and awesome! Then we arrived and the boarding process was smooth and easy! BUT the most important part was our INCREDIBLE tour guide!! He was so knowledgeable and even had his own pet baby alligator we were able to hold!! We got to see so much of the swamps and we saw about 20 if not more alligators!! It was such a blast and I’d highly recommend!!
