Tinghir - Early in the morning, we traverse the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi-n-Tichka Pass, witnessing some of Morocco’s most stunning landscapes on our way to the oasis town of Ouarzazate. We will pause for lunch before continuing our journey to Tinghir through the Valley of the Roses and the “Valley of 1000 Kasbahs”.

Special Note
Today’s total driving time is approximately 7 hours.

Ait Barka - Our first stop will be Aït Barka village at 915m, for refreshments and to admire panoramic views of the High Atlas Mountains from the café terrace.

Tizi n Tichka - Our second stop will be at the summit of Tizi N’ Tichka at 2,260m, offering breathtaking views of quasi-desert landscapes, the valley of the Wadi Tensift to the north, and the valley of the Ounila to the south.

Ait Ben Haddou - The third stop will be Ait Benhaddou, a World Heritage site that boasts the best-preserved collection of kasbahs in Morocco. Here, we will stop for a delicious lunch, after which you can admire the kasbah and take photos from a lookout point.

Kasbah Amridil - Our next stop will be Kasbah Amridil, one of Morocco’s grandest kasbahs. This 17th-century citadel is one of the most famous kasbahs in Morocco and was once depicted on the 50-dirham note. Some scenes from ‘Lawrence of Arabia’ were filmed here. The entrance fee is 20 Dhs per person.

El Kelaa M’gouna - Afterward, our next destination is El Kelaa M’Gouna (Vallee des Roses), where, in spring, the entire area is awash with pink Persian roses. The fragrance and stunning views in this lush valley will excite all your senses. Grab a drink or purchase an array of rose products made fresh from roses distilled right here on the premises of the café where we will be stopping.

Tinghir - Todgha & Oasis Gorge - Erfoud - Merzouga

Merzouga Desert - Our destination today is the Merzouga Dunes (Sahara Desert) via Erfoud. On the road, you will see the Rissani Oasis before crossing the sandy track that leads to the dunes. Merzouga village is located in front of the big dune of Erg Chebbi. From here, we will take a camel into the desert and spend the night at a traditional Berber camp, experiencing total peace and serenity. Today’s total driving time is approximately 4 hours.

Todra River - After breakfast, our journey starts with a walk through the lovely Todra Valley to explore the spectacular Todra Gorge, a deep chasm cutting through the mountains. The massive trench, Todra Gorge, rises over 250m and is one of the most beautiful natural sights in Morocco.
