A wonderful cooking lesson in the heart of Marrakech - We had a wonderful morning with Hanane and her team. We started by shopping in the Souks for our ingredients then back to the Riad where Hanane showed us how to make a traditional Moroccan tagine and some salads. We thoroughly recommend this experience.

Cooking Class in Marrakech at a local Riad - We shopped with Mouna in the local market for the ingredients for a Chicken Tagine. We then went to the Alriad and met Hanane. We were served Moroccan tea in the sitting room and then Hanane explained the process of preparing the ingredients for the Chicken Tagine, Moroccan Salad and Zelok - it was delicious! I would recommend this activity with Intrepid.

Highly recommend this experience! - Hanane was our lovely hostess and head chef for the Tagine cooking class. We really enjoyed the experience and the Tagine tasted excellent! First we walked to the market to pickup ingredients, then walked back to Alriad for cooking. We made babaganush, tomato and roasted green pepper dish, and Tagine. We ate on the rooftop terrace. Excellent experience!

Best meal in Morocco so far! - Chef Assis was great and the market tour was really cool because we collected all the food we ate before cooking it! All of the staff were super helpful. Each of us had our own tagine and the food was absolutely phenomenal! Best meal in Morocco so far. They even gifted us with baskets and spices used at the end!
Highly Recommend 💯

See above. - Aziz B was AMAZING! My friend and I booked a cooking experience with Intrepid. The four hours together were a magical as the multitude of spices we used in our Chicken Tijine, and two summer salads. We learned the secrets to Morocco cooking while laughing and enjoying the best home cooked Moroccan food.

From Souk to Stove: The Best Tagine in Morocco! - The Marrakech Tour - Tagine Cooking Class was easily one of the best experiences of our trip. Our host guided us through the vibrant souks to gather fresh ingredients, and visiting the butcher—with live chickens in the back—was a real, authentic glimpse into daily Moroccan life.
After shopping, we were welcomed into a stunning Riad where the cooking began. We prepared a Moroccan tomato salad, zalouk, and a chicken tagine. After two weeks of tagines across Morocco, I can confidently say this was the best one we had—and not just because I made it!
The recipes were provided at the end, and we’ve already recreated the meal at home. It instantly transported us back to the smells, tastes, and atmosphere of Marrakech.
Highly recommend this class for anyone looking to take home more than just souvenirs—this is a memory you can relive with every bite.

Overpromised and extremely underdelivered - not worth it - Very underwhelming experience. The class could have been 2 hours as opposed to 4. I thought it would be more interactive, learning about the markets, interacting with vendors and more hands-on. There was a lot of sitting around and not a lot of communication. There was no tea demonstration nor were there recipes to leave with. Very disappointed by the experience overall and felt like a waste of a half of a day in a new city.
