The only way to see the markets AUTHENTIC - AMZING! Everything I wanted and more. Ali was fantastic a Marrakech native he knew all the ins and outs of the city and exactly where to shop. Every store owner I met was incredibly kind and accommodating I was not pressured to buy anything. Ali was so great because he tailored the tour to my needs and interests I work in textiles so he took me to a rug store with a magnificent presentation I felt like I was with my best friend! Also as a solo female traveler I felt so safe with him. We were running around all day in little ally’s and walkways he was very respectful and even showed me where to get the best street food!

A great experience in Marrakech! - I can't say enough great things about Ali. This is my second tour with him and he did not disappoint. Ali takes the time to provide a great shopping experience, while giving you the history of Morocco. I highly recommend!

Great tour with Said - absolute added value for a stay in Marrakech - Great tour with Said! Highly recommended. I was in Marrakesh with my 2-year-old daughter over Easter and booked the souk tour. We were alone with Said and had a great afternoon. He took us to interesting corners of the souks, negotiated great prices and showed us the souks from a side that you don't usually get to see as a tourist. My TIP: It's best to do this tour right at the start of your stay - it's a completely different experience than walking through the souks without a guide. Be sure to ask for Said for the tour - he is a really competent guide, speaks very good German and you just have a great time with him. He also gives lots of tips and advice for the trip ;)

Shopping Tour Great Guide - Mohammed was absolutely fantastic. He went above and beyond to get us the best prices and take us everywhere we wanted to go and where he knew we would like to go. Hidden gems we would never have found. Great information about the place that set us up for the weekend. I really couldn’t have wished for a better guide . I highly recommend booking him for any of his walks. We did the shopping tour but he also does others including a food tour we would have booked if we had more time and will def book next time. Thank you Mohammed you are a brilliant guide with so much patience and a great sense of humour , can’t thank you enough.

Two enthusiastic thumbs up! - Though our originally scheduled guide was ill, Mohammed stepped in and was excellent! Not only did he escort us around the numerous souks, he explained the history behind them, and their importance in historical perspective. He is a wealth of information, and made an effort to find opportunities to share with us his neighborhood, important landmarks, traditions, and off the beaten path things you wouldn't know to look gorgeous on your own. I am grateful for his guidance, education, and advice. I would highly recommend this experience!! Thanks Mohammad!!

Great tour - Ali was just amazing, he grew up in the old Medina and takes such pride in telling of his culture. We walked through the Souks visiting the hidden gems like locals . Ali felt proud to show the master artisans using their skills to create stunning Moroccan handicrafts. And I think 3 hours tour isn’t enough to cover all the colourful Souks. I highly recommend this visit for the first time in Marrakech city. Many thanks for for the lovely tour!

You would not regret having Ali as a guide ! - After 5 days in Mrrakesch we were really getting tired of not being able to walk through the Souks and see what we wanted to see without being pushed to purchase things by literally all shops we walked by. It’s unfortunate that their way of push selling goes against their intent turning lots of tourists like us away. After spending a few hours of our 4th day with Ali, we were amazed by how peaceful it was to walk through the souk, being able to actually see what they sell, and make meaningful interactions with local people in souk. Really grateful we could walk through alleys and hidden paths we wouldn’t go in otherwise if we had not have him with us. On the next day when we tried to walk through these path, locals turned us away from going in these paths trying to lured us into their shops etc.. Big thank you to Ali, it did feel like our body guard with a walking knowledge! Only regret we have is that We left it until the end of our trip in Marrakesh to tour with Ali, wish we had him on our first day. Can’t recommend him enough to those who wish to visit the city!

Terrible, full of con artists. - Simply put… Terrible. It was our first day in Marrakech and we followed the advice on some websites and decided to get a guide to show us around the souks. We specifically asked Ali to take us “off the beaten track”, as I much preferred to spend my money at smaller shops that were out of the way, instead of the major tourist areas. I was completely ignored and in addition to that, were told we would be taken to the herb and carpet market which he didn’t even bother to take us to. Here is where it gets worse. The next day we took the same route and a shopkeeper stopped us and said “today no guide, no commission, you get cheaper prices”. I was gobsmacked. To add insult to injury, when at the “dyers market” with our dear Ali, we were being sold “silk” pashminas for 1200 dr. Which the shopkeeper took down to 800 dr telling us he was giving us such a good price. We declined as it seemed a bit much, and actually found the exact same pashmina at the artisanal market opposite the Cyber park for 100 dr!!!! So, be very very careful if you decide to book any tour and “shopping experience”. I’d suggest you stay away from the souks for shopping and buy what you want at the Artisanal Market, where the prices are a LOT lower. Also, because we didn’t want to spend money shopping on our first day and our tour with Ali, everyone including Ali went into a mood with us. Not at all a nice experience. I’d stay well away from it and wish I’d spent this money on a tour of the monuments. Very disappointing to say the least.
