- Jardin Majorelle - The Jardin Majorelle: A Hidden Gem in the Heart of Marrakech
The Jardin Majorelle in Marrakech is one of Morocco’s most cherished and frequently visited attractions. Created by the French artist Jacques Majorelle (1886–1962), this enchanting garden was the result of forty years of dedication, blossoming in the heart of the “Ochre City.”
As visitors wander through its shaded pathways, they are enveloped by a remarkable array of exotic trees and plants, each sharing stories from far-off lands. Gentle streams and peaceful pools, adorned with water lilies and lotus flowers, add to the garden’s charm. The air is filled with the sweet fragrance of nature, the rustling of leaves, and the harmonious chirping of birds who have found refuge in this tranquil oasis.
- Bahia Palace - The Bahia Palace — meaning “brilliance” in Arabic — is one of Marrakech’s most beautifully preserved and intriguing historical sites. Built between 1866 and 1867 by Si Moussa, the expansive palace covers two acres in the heart of the medina.
With its 150 intricately designed rooms, including a harem adjacent to the sunlit Court of Honour, the palace provides a fascinating glimpse into the luxury of 19th-century Moroccan architecture and design. During the French Protectorate, it served as the residence of the Resident General, adding another layer to its rich history.
Today, the Bahia Palace is open to the public as a museum and cultural venue. It has also hosted prestigious events such as the Marrakech Biennale, making it not only a window into the past but a vibrant part of the city’s artistic and cultural scene.

Jemaa el-Fna - Jemaa el-Fnaa (Arabic: ساحة جامع الفناء Sāḥat Jāmiʾ al-Fanāʾ, also Jemaa el-Fna, Djema el-Fna or Djemaa el-Fnaa) is a square and marketplace in Marrakesh’s medina quarter (old city). It remains the main square of Marrakesh, frequented by both locals and tourists.

Koutoubia Mosque - Koutoubia Mosque (Arabic: جامع الكتبية Arabic pronunciation: [jaːmiʕu‿lkutubijːa(h)])[a] is the largest mosque in Marrakesh, Morocco.[2] It is situated in the southwest medina quarter of Marrakesh, near the Jemaa el-Fnaa marketplace, and is surrounded by expansive gardens.
The mosque was established in 1147 by the Almohad caliph Abd al-Mu’min shortly after he captured Marrakesh from the Almoravids. A second version of the mosque was completely rebuilt by Abd al-Mu’min around 1158, with Ya’qub al-Mansur possibly completing the minaret around 1195.[3] This second mosque is the structure that stands today. It is a significant example of Almohad architecture and Moroccan mosque architecture in general.

Tanneries - The leather tanneries in Marrakech are captivating and historic locations where the traditional process of leather production is still practiced today. The most renowned tanneries in Marrakech are located in the city’s medina, particularly in the tannery district of Bab Debbagh.
When visiting a leather tannery in Marrakech, one can observe a traditional and labor-intensive method of transforming raw animal hides into supple leather. The tanneries typically consist of a series of large stone vessels or pits, known as ‘dyeing vats,’ filled with various natural substances used in the tanning process.
