Walking tour review - Eating like locals with a great guide. Respectful and full of interesting facts about Marrakesh. Really recommend this, and walking to the Hotel de France was an immersive adventure for myself and adult daughter. I’d do it again for sure

Bon Appétit, Moroccan Style - I had an excellent experience on a gastronomy tour tonight, guided by Jihad. It was a one-on-one tour, so Jihad tailored everything to my dietary needs. We tried a variety of traditional dishes, including some delicious Harira soup, spiced sardines, and a selection of local pastries. To top it off, Jihad helped me pick out fresh mint for a Moroccan green tea stop, which was a lovely touch. With some spare time at the end, he also assisted me in the markets and helped negotiate a taxi fare back to the hotel. Throughout the tour, the conversation was great, and the food was superb. I highly recommend this tour for anyone looking for an authentic culinary experience with a personal touch!

Highly recommended tour. - It was a very useful experience and the guide was super knowledgeable. We were glad we did it on the first day we arrived in Marrakech. The tour helped us get to know the huge market of Marrakech. Highly recommended!

Great way to start our holiday in Marrakech! - As first-time travellers to Morocco, we were nervous about finding our way around and finding good places to eat. When we arrived in the main square it was quite overwhelming, so we were really glad we had booked a Guided tour! The meeting point was central and should have been easy to find but we accidentally wandered past. We did find our way back though, and our guide Jihad arrived shortly ahead of time to meet us as arranged. We were in a small group of 6 other UK tourists which was just the right size. Jihad spoke amazing English (as well as an impressive 4 other languages for other nationality tourists!), and he was so passionate about the culture and food history of Marrakech that we were soon made to feel very welcome and immersed ourselves in the experience - the whole evening was wonderful! We walked at little around the Souks and main square to the different tastings. We tried Moroccan flat bread, donuts, mint tea, soup and at the end the traditional dish of Marrakech, beef Tangia, which was delicious! At each stop Jihad gave us lots of really interesting information about the traditional food, cooking and imports to Morocco. He was so friendly and funny, and really did know the best and safest places to eat. We also visited the olive market and a spice stall (which was optional with no selling at all). Being with a guide for our first evening was so reassuring and really gave us a sense of where we were so we could go on to find our own way around (and good places to eat!) throughout the rest of our stay. I would really recommend this tour for first-time visitors and return visitors who'd like to try some new foods and learn more about the culture here in Marrakech. The price was really reasonable for all the food we had, made extra special by Jihad's excellent knowledge and friendly guidance. Also we were relieved that we didn't get served snails or sheep's head - phew! Brilliant! Thank you so much. Sakura & Ben

Great Intro to Moroccan food and Marrakech - We opted to take this tour on the first night of our trip and to help orientate us a little to the busy city. A great introduction to Marrakech and Moroccan food was provided by Ayoub. We went to many authentic food stall, market stalls and a wonderful restaurant serving tagiers. Ayoub was lovely company and gave us lots of insight into Marrakech and the culture. Thank you and would definitely recommend.

Great food tour in Marrakesh - This was my first tour in Marrakesh and it was a great way to learn about the local food culture as well as to learn on how to navigate in Marrakesh. We visited 4 spots by foot in different locations, having the opportunity to learn about the food preparation and history and try traditional street foods and to visit q traditional restaurant to try the delicious tanjia and Harrita soup at the market. The guide was super friendly and knowledgeable and I definitely recommend the tour!

Enjoyable trip. - Enjoyable experience. Food was good (and didn’t make us ill) Guide was easy to understand, and had good knowledge when questions were asked. Only improvements could be 1) guide more easily identifiable at commencement of tour (no branding on him as directions promised) and 2) maybe a little more information would have been good (although guide knowledgable he often needed prompting with questions)

Do Not Book this tour! - Worst Viator tour I've ever booked and I've been on many. Guide was not interested in Group, Arrived late and left early. No narrative on the walk. Two people had to share a tiny plate of bones that he called dinner. The soup was not hot and we all got ill from that. We missed a tour the following day because of it. We booked three tours with Viator on this trip and the other two were great. On the whole, was not as advertised and I'm going to ask for a refund.
