From Souk to Stove: The Best Tagine in Morocco! - The Marrakech Tour - Tagine Cooking Class was easily one of the best experiences of our trip. Our host guided us through the vibrant souks to gather fresh ingredients, and visiting the butcher—with live chickens in the back—was a real, authentic glimpse into daily Moroccan life. After shopping, we were welcomed into a stunning Riad where the cooking began. We prepared a Moroccan tomato salad, zalouk, and a chicken tagine. After two weeks of tagines across Morocco, I can confidently say this was the best one we had—and not just because I made it! The recipes were provided at the end, and we’ve already recreated the meal at home. It instantly transported us back to the smells, tastes, and atmosphere of Marrakech. Highly recommend this class for anyone looking to take home more than just souvenirs—this is a memory you can relive with every bite.

Perfect way to spend the morning and learn how to cook in the tajine. - Layla was amazing. We went through the souk and bought the ingredients and then back to the riad to prepare, cook and then eat. It was a fantastic experience very informative and Layla was very welcoming and happy to answer all the questions.

Must-try - This cooking class with Laila is the best experience of my two-week trip in Morocco. Laila is wonderful: she is passionate about cooking. She took us to the market to buy the fresh ingredients. It was great to learn from her how to prepare and cook the means we have enjoyed so much in this country. Highly recommended.

Great cooking class in the heart of the Medina - This cooking class was a fantastic experience! We started with a brief tour of the local markets where Leila, our chef and guide, showed us where she buys fresh ingredients. After picking everything out, we headed back to the riad where most of the prep work was already done, so we could jump straight into cooking. Leila guided us through making chicken tagine, Moroccan salad, zalouk, bread, and mint tea, offering great tips on spices and techniques. While the tagine cooked, we relaxed on the rooftop terrace with tea. The meal was incredible, and we enjoyed it together as a group. We also received a small bag of spices to take home. Highly recommend this class for anyone looking to experience authentic Moroccan cooking!

Cooking with Laila - Laila was such a good teacher - she taught us to make chicken tagine, Baba ghanoush and shakshouka, and the local chobs bread. A wonderful morning shopping in the souls and then preparing the meal at raid already which we then ate. Super and would recommend.

The best tagine of our holiday - On our last day of our Intrepid family tour of Morocco, we added this cooking class, and it was such a great addition! Leila met us at the main square and took us shopping for ingredients then back to the riad kitchen to cook. The riad was beautifully decorated and furnished, the kitchen was well appointed and spotlessly clean. Leila got us all - two parents, a 15yo girl and 12yo boy - involved in preparing and cooking our individual chicken tagines and breads, as well as a pepper & tomato salad and baba ganoush. She has a very calm and happy personality and we all felt at home. And we all learned something new. It was, without doubt, the best tagine of the holiday! Thank you Leila and Intrepid.

First time Cooking Class - I booked this experience for me and my friend for my birthday. Laila was such a great chef/host. We walked to the market, which was a bit of a trek so bring some walking shoes, if it was a bit shorter, I’d give this 5 stars. Though it was cool to see all the stores along the way to getting our ingredients for dinner. Once we made it back the riad, which is STUNNING by the way, we were given time to rest with tea and biscuits. Then we go to work. This was such a fun and interactive experience. Laila is very helpful, patient, and funny! We made chicken tagine, baba ghanoush, Moroccan salad, and bread! It was all so delicious and highly recommend.
