Excellent! - Mohammed was a very excellent guide. He showed us the ins and outs of the market and the best quality and prices of things to purchase. Highly recommended!

Excellent souk tour - We had a great 3 hour tour with the excellent Hassam. He was so informative and fun. He made sure we saw the parts of the souk that interested us. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the tour.

Discovered many areas of the city - Our tour guide was well informed and showed us many areas of the city that we had not seen. Rugs, leather, blacksmith, wool. The Ben Youssef Madrasa was incredible. I’ve seen the Alambra and it’s one of my favorite places on earth. The courtyard of the madrasah was definitely on par with the Alhambra. Mohammed is a kind and well educated scientist who knew a lot. Also we appreciated that there was zero pressure to buy anything.

A colorful maze - It really needs to be done; it's a real, completely exotic labyrinth full of colors! We asked for help from a local guide (€60 for 4 hours) who explained to us that we should not confuse the artisan souks with the rest that she calls the grand bazaar. We particularly liked the dyers', leather and ironworks souks. I would have liked to see the tanners' souk but obviously, it is not a recommended area and the vats are rotten and no longer used at all. If you want souvenirs, let your guide haggle for you...

Nice tour through the souks - Mo led us through the souks in Marrakech on the booked tour. The experience was extremely varied and exciting. Mo led us through the narrow streets and lively craft quarters and shared helpful advice with us. The tour flew by. We booked the tour in German and Mo speaks excellent German. We would choose this tour again at any time.

Don't buy anything during the trip! - This is certainly an option to explore the souks, but we felt a bit ripped off. For example, the guide took us to a spice shop. It was announced that way, but he should have told us in advance what was going to happen, namely an explanation of all the products available and then the offer to purchase. He should have told us (as a highly paid guide) how much we could offer, but he clearly sided with the sellers. Besides, we're pretty sure he got his percentage on our purchase. With a guide you cannot make good offers anyway because there is time pressure in the store. So: never buy anything during a guided tour. You can also find your way in the souks via maps.me. All in all we paid at least 50 euros too much.

Running away horrible - Simply horrible A racketeering experience Extorted parking lot Every 10 seconds someone talks to you to sell you something Very few sincere people Moroccan generosity is not there. They suck your soul Never again Very bad publicity for them, they forget that they live from tourism…. The people of the mountains are more authentic and true, we had good encounters but far from Marrakech The first time in my life that I am happy to return to work on Monday and flee this country

Marrakech does not receive tourists, only euros!!! - Never again Marrakech for us. The Riad where we stayed was fantastic, but outside the Riad everyone tries to extort money from you. Walking quietly through the streets is almost impossible and it looks like there is a euro sign on your forehead. Ten times a day we were told that the road was closed, we were walking in the wrong direction, they wanted to take us to the unique leather market... etc. Looking in a store is impossible because they come to honey like bees... look, look, don't buy...... Yet there are also beautiful things to see, such as the Koran school and the Bahia Palace. Just to get there you will walk through neighborhoods where people are after your money. It is such a shame that these "bad-minded" people have no respect for tourism, which they have to make a living from. Received tips for good restaurants through the Riad. That was wonderful and the people were hospitable and friendly. Only then will you get value for your money. A trip to the Ourika waterfalls is a commercial trip with a visit to the cloth market and oil sales. Three times as expensive as elsewhere in Marrakech, but the stories are credible for many. The climb to the waterfall is beautiful, but during the climb you feel like you are at a fair. Once we reached the top, we quickly came back down via a different route, had lunch and got back into the taxi. Just pay and have a nice day. The air is polluted by exhaust fumes and burning of waste. Outside the city there is plastic and garbage everywhere. In short, Marrakech has no respect for the tourism from which they earn their money. Never again for us!!!! Amen
