Dave n Ulai 4167m with Active Treks ! - My friend and I can't thank Mohamed and his team from Active Treks enough for a wonderful adventure in Morocco! From arrival to departure our trip was taken care of in a very professional and personally caring manner. All our transfers were on time and friendly. Our guide and chef/muleteer looked after all our needs on the trek providing knowledge, experience ,help and great healthy hearty meals freshly prepared in the mountains. We loved every bit of the experience and owe so much to our guide for getting us to the summit and back down safely. A true friendly, approachable professional! The whole teams outstanding communication and experience gave us the freedom to enjoy our adventure without worry! Also our accommodation at the Riad Nirvana in Marrakesh and our stay with Mohamed and his family were first class hospitality with real homely and personal touches. I would with no doubt go on any of Active Treks adventures and would recommend to everyone to do the same! Thank you so much!

Very professional outfit and good people - Mohamed, the tour operator, was very helpful and communicative prior to the tour, which helped us to plan and to come equipped. Hamid, the tour leader was extremely attentive to out needs at all times and made an extra effort with my younger son (aged 16), who enjoyed the experience so much more, as a consequence. When my other son felt unwell (at the beginning of day four), it was no problem for the team to change its itinerary and for us to avoid the higher altitudes (and heat), which would have been dangerous for him to even try in his condition. They also arranged (and paid for) a lengthy (if not somewhat terrifying!) cab ride to help avoid too much hiking on that day. We ended up staying in Imlil for the last night (at Mohamed’s guest house), which was a nice substitute for our final summit push. Special mentions also to Mohamed (#2), the cook and mule handler, Hamid (#2) his assistant, and Morad (Mohamed (#1)’s son), who helped with guiding duties. I would strongly recommend this team and with them al the best for the future.

Toubkal in the snow - Many thanks for organising an amazing trip . Mohamed the cook and Maroine the guide ensured we were well looked after. They both had excellent knowledge of the area . We had freshly cooked breakfasts before starting the treks , delicious lunches up in the mountains and hot dinners every evening . Mohamed ensured that everything was well coordinated and made changes to the planned trips according to the weather . Highly recommended and it made us consider returning to explore more of Morocco in the future. We will ask Mohammed to personalise a tour for us next year Carmen and Edgar

Definitely the highlight of our trip to Morocco and Europe - Everything was perfect. Mohammed makes it easy to organise ahead of time, takes care of hotels, connections, gear, and everything else. The guides (local to the area) were excellent, and the food, ridiculously good, particularly given some of it was prepared at stops on the walk. And the walk itself was great - stunning scenery, a beautiful pre-dawn walk up Toubkal, and being in the villages of Imlil and Aroumd with the local guides was a great experience.

A great company to go with on Toubkal - We were a small group of friends and family with experience ranging from none to serious. Even with the range of abilities, we were really well guided in Toubkal. The weather was appalling 🥹but even so, everyone had an exceptional experience thanks to Mohammad and his team. I would recommend them in a heartbeat and in fact we will return to the atlas range in a couple of months and look forward to climbing with them again

Fabulous Toubkal trek - We did a 5 day trek with a group of friends including the summit of Mt Toubkal and we all enjoyed every minute - even the 5.00am start from the refuge on summit day! Actually that was well worth it for the stunning sunrise at the top and 360 views. Mohammed’s local team comprising guide, fabulous chef and muleteers took exceptional care of us all, kept us very well provisioned with beautifully prepared fresh food, all cooked on the hoof as it were. Our chef doubled up as a back marker on our trek up Toubkal which was much appreciated as there was a range of ability within our group. There was always someone there with a steadying hand when needed. The logistics worked well and were flexible enough to move our Toubkal day to catch the best of the weather. It snowed the following day which would have been disappointing in terms of views. We also enjoyed some delightful trekking through Berber villages around Imlil before our return to Marrakesh where we had chosen to spend an extra day to indulge in the madness! All in all a fabulous trip and we would highly recommend Active Treks Morocco. Thanks Mohammed!

Mt Toubkal Hike with overnight stay at a refuge - My first trip to Morocco with a group of friends and what an experience it was. Loved every minute of it. Muhammed took a good care of us & everything was organised very well. Our Guide & Cook were great (loved fresly made beef Tagine on the side of the mountain, delicious!) Spectacular views from the top of Toubkal....Breathtaking...burst out crying when I got to the top. Tough hike but worth every step of it. I highly recommend Muhammad's custom, very professional, friendly & knowledgeable. Thank you 🙌

tough 3 days trek but the Toubka peak was awesome - The owner helped me a planning the trek and the and took care of all the logistics , Hussain the guide was great , speak good English and really took care of us, we did a 3 days including going up to the Tobkal, Very hard !! mar sure you are up to it . we had a mule we walked alongside us to help in the hard ascents , day 2 we ascended 1500 meters in 5 hours, A hard day but great scenery and the food awaiting at the refuge was great The team led by Mohamed in the office , Hussain the guide an d the kitchen guys were great

Atlas Mountains Trekking - 5 day trek in High Atlas including Mount Toubkal Great Father and Son hiking experience, both of us really enjoyed and thought it was great value. Was good to see more of the Atlas mountains than just the highest peak. Great Tour Guide and Mule Driver / Chef team, very healthy food. Accomodation, organisation, scheduling and people all top notch. It would have been considerably more difficult and more expensive and probably not as enjoyable if I had tried to organise all this myself.
