A really Good trip - A really good full day trip (9am to 6pm for us), visited an Argan oil Women's co-operative, we were welcomed with tea and bread with various oil dips. Next we visited the production area which is 3 ladies manually making the raw oil and then the shop (it's about 20 mins in all). Next we drove to Imlil and walked to the Waterfall with the guide included in the trip, he was a cheerful, informative and friendly guy, the walk to the waterfall is uphill so you need some level of fitness but nothing most people couldn't easily achieve. They do ask what level of walk is suitable for your party so if you don't fancy the full thing it can be adjusted. The waterfall area is pretty with a refreshment stall and some chairs / tables, it could get busy here. We walked back via the river which was quieter, on route we walked through various Berber settlements on our way for lunch at a Berber family house. The host was very welcoming, friendly, had a chat with us, we took lunch in a small room inside the house, it was clean and the food (Chicken Tagine) was plentiful and very delicious and the whole experience was really good. Next we walked back to the driver (about 20mins) and travelled out of the mountains through a large agricultural area to the camel riding location. The guide was more than happy to stop for photos anywhere you ask along the route. I've seen lots of camels for riding whilst visiting many countries and they normally look pretty rough and sorry for themselves but these did look well cared for. The ride was about 20 mins, (the camels were good natured and we're happy for a bit of petting afterwards), this was followed by tea. We then returned to Marrakech via Lake Takerkoust, stopped at a few vantage points and then returned to our hotel in Marrakech. The car was a Mercedes Vito Van which was very clean and comfortable as there is quite a bit of driving. The driver/guide Nordine was a friendly local from the Atlas mountains, he was a safe and careful driver and was obviously very knowledgeable about the area. Overall a very good day trip.
