Amazing Experience, and probably the best meal you'll have in Marrakech - From start to finish just an enormous amount of fun. We were picked up near our hotel and then driven to a market where we got vegetables, meat. Each of us selected from one of about 9 or 10 different dishes, tagines, couscous, and pastille. Then drove about 20 minutes to a beautiful outdoor cooking area. We spent about 3 hours preparing and cooking the meals -- chopping everything, assembling, then putting the pots on braziers, and letting them cook. We also made fresh bread and cooked the pastilles in their wood-fire oven. Had some mint tea and pastries while it was cooking. When everything was ready we sat down and ate. The food was simply amazing, we went to a lot of high-end restaurants but I have to say the freshly made tajine, bread, it was the best meal we had the whole trip -- possibly just because of the experience and that we made it ourselves, or because it was cooked fresh, either way just delicious. We learned a lot during the class, and he was good with my daughters (12 and 15), letting them do all of their cooking, and not giving them knife work that is more accident-prone. I highly recommend it, and the open-air venue is nicer than anything you are going to find near the medina, with lot of space, some couches where you can sit and take a break, shade from the sun, and some goats.

A wonderful culinary experience in a beautiful setting - Whole experience was very enjoyable from start to finish. Abdel our host and chef was friendly, informative and easy company. We had a choice of dishes from which to select ones to prepare and then as a small group we went to the local market to buy the ingredients. The venue itself is a little drive out of Marrakesh, and was an oasis of calm within a beautiful setting. We had great fun cooking together in an outside kitchen and then eating our fabulous food sat in the garden. Would certainly recommend this course to others. Thankyou.

The best meals we tried in Morocco - Recommended! It was the best part/experience of our 8-day trip to Morocco. Abdul is a professional chef and it shows, that he is very patient and educational with how to select the ingredients and how to cook each of the dishes, he goes step by step taking care that we understand why we are using certain ingredients and why the process is like it is. The class starts with a visit to a local market to buy all the ingredients needed for the selected dishes, then we go to his farm outside Marrakech for the cooking class. This place is magical and beautiful, with a well-equipped cooking area on the outside. The best food we tried on our trip was, surprisingly, the one we cooked ourselves thanks to this class. Definitely a fantastic experience! PS: there are vegetarian options as well.

Moroccan cooking Class - Farm to Table Marrakech - The Moroccan cooking class at 'Farm to Table' led by our instructor, Chef Abdul, was a delightful culinary journey into the vibrant flavours of Morocco. We were firstly taken to the market in the souk where we shopped for our ingredients. Abdul, with his warm smile and expert guidance, patiently led us through each step of the process of preparing the dishes. The star of the show was the lamb tagine, that my wife Jennie made. It was a fragrant and rich stew that simmered slowly to tender perfection. The vegetable couscous, my selection, was a delicious compliment to the lamb tagine, with each fluffy grain perfectly cooked and infused with the essence of the vegetables and aromatic broth. The process of steaming the couscous was a fascinating revelation, and Abdul's tips ensured that the dish turned out perfectly. We also had the pleasure of preparing five different salads, each highlighting a unique combination of fresh produce, herbs, and dressings. The salads added a refreshing and colorful contrast to the richness of the tagine and couscous, showcasing the balance of flavors and textures that is characteristic of Moroccan cuisine. Throughout the class, Chef Abdul shared insights into the traditional techniques and ingredients used in Moroccan cooking, making the experience not only delicious but also educational. His passion for the cuisine was infectious, and his attention to detail ensured that each dish was cooked to perfection. The best part of the experience was eating and enjoying the food that we had prepared in the tranquil garden and hearing the birds chirping as we dined together. Such a wonderful way to complete a long deserved holiday with my wife.

Fantastic cooking experience and location - We have been to many cookery schools abroad before and this is definitely up with the best!! We started with a trip to the markets to hand pick our own vegetables and to the butchers for meat. We had a wide choice of dishes to choose from and we both choose differently meaning we could try a tagine and couscous. The location is stunning approx 30min drive away, very peaceful and quiet with an outdoor kitchen and herb garden. Not only did we make our main courses, we also made 4 different salads for starters along with fresh bread! The head chef was very informative and you could see the passion he has for cooking and teaching! Afterwards we got to sit and enjoy our hard efforts, we had so much food we barely ate half of it all, we went in the evening and where glad we skipped lunch! Overall an absolutely fantastic experience we highly recommend worth every penny! Many thanks from the Lawsons

Our best Marrakech experience - We really enjoyed this experience ! The guide took us to a local market to shop for our ingredients and we were then taken to a beautiful farm just outside of the city for the cooking class. The farm was incredible set up with an outdoor kitchen. The chef was very nice and helpful and guided us through every step with jokes and great tips! The meal turned out delicious but make sure to come HUNGRY because there’s a lot of food. Overall it was one of the best cooking classes we’ve ever done and the staff really made the experience! Thank you !

A hugely enjoyable culinary experience in a beautiful setting - My husband and I make a point of doing a cooking class in the more exotic places we travel to, and for us Marrakech was one of them. We chose this particular class based on the strength of the reviews, and they weren't wrong: it was a fantastic experience from start (shopping together in the medina) to finish (the meal itself). To be fair, it helped that it was just the two of us doing the class that day. It meant we had the undivided attention of our teacher, Abdelhak, who was very friendly (and patient!) and gave us all sorts of information throughout the afternoon and evening. There was no skimping, either - despite it just being the two of us, we prepared the full menu of starters and salads that an entire 12-person class would make (six in total), plus bread, as well as one main dish each and an extra one for good measure. The spread we ended up with was far too much food for just us two, so we hope the staff at the farm got to enjoy it too. The farm itself was a fantastic setting. The cooking area is an amazing arrangement, and the dining and traditional lounge areas adjoining it (where we ate the meal but also relaxed beforehand, mid-class, with mint tea and sweet pastries) were equally lovely. You're given free rein to roam the farm itself, too, and make friends with its cute resident dog, Zeitoun ('black olive'). The fresh ingredients sourced from the farm - in addition to thse purchased from the market at the start of the experience - make a huge difference to the dishes. Note that because the farm is quite a way out of the centre of the city, around 60 minutes of the five-hour duration of the class is spent getting there and back. We were met by Abdelhak in the medina, then spent about 15 mins shopping before driving out to the farm. In total, there was about 3.5 hours of cooking and eating time, which was more than enough to allow for relaxed chat about our own lives and life in Morocco. Abdelhak was a very professional and likeable host and teacher with excellent English and conversation skills. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience and would recommend it to anyone looking to learn about and enjoy local cuisine in a beautiful, authentic setting away from the hustle and bustle of the medina.

Amazing food, great experience - 100% would recommend! - The class was amazing, really insightful. We started by heading to the market and choosing our ingredients and it was a short drive to the farm. The location was so pretty, the outside kitchen was the reason we chose this cooking class, and it did not disappoint. We got to choose from 7 dishes (we did the lamb couscous and chicken tagine), along with 7 salads and bread. There were 4 of us in the class, and we made sure we all picked something different so we could try them all. The staff were really friendly, explained and the cooking styles, and about all the different spices, and what worked with different meats. It was the best thing we did in the trip, if you love cooking i would highly recommend this experience, and not to mention the food was amazing, the best local cuisine you’ll find on your trip!
