Monriad - The cooking class will be held in the riad: MONRIAD.
We are in the heart of the old medina of Marrakech, near the main square and close to Bahia Palace..
Upon arrival our chefs will be greeted with a tasty and aromatic Moroccan mint tea.
We will prepare the shopping list with Aicha or Karima and then our new chefs will jump into the traditional old market (souk). A small tour, walking through aromas of spices and local traditions.
Back to the riad we will start to prepare the dishes selected with the support, explanation and help of moroccan chef..
In the cooking time they can relax on the roof top terrace, with a beautiful view on the medina and on the main mosque of Marrakech.
Usually their private home made lunch/dinner will be serve on the terrace or in the courtyard of the riad.
Within 1 week from the cooking class the chef will receive the recipes by mail.

Additional Information
We are a riad, the old moroccan familiar home in the medina.
Walking inside a riad it’s like a flashback in the moroccan tradition.
Thanks to our cooking experience our guests will go the traditional Mellah cover market where we will buy all the ingredients for our cooking lesson and like in a traditional moroccan family we will cook together with our chef Aicha and they will discover the secrets of moroccan kitchen and culture.
On request e have gluten free and vegan options
After maximum 1 week our chef they will receive all the recipes by mail

Wonderful Experience - We loved every minute of this experience from visiting the local markets to preparing the meal with the most lovely chef I couldn't recommend this experience more. The best activity we booked in Marrakech!

Morrocan Cooking Class - We had a fabulous experience cooking with Marina and her Chef. We loved all her stories and her humour. The food we made was delicious and we enjoyed it in the Riad. If you enjoy cooking and food and want to know more about the Morrocan way of life, you should check this out

Wonderful - book it !! - Absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish.
There was just myself and my 15yr old son, and we were taken shopping, hands on cooking and lots of fun interaction.

Best Experience Ever - Such a friendly environment with knowledgeable chefs. Highly recommend Monriad as the girls there love their job and make the lesson enjoyable. We had what we cooked and must admit it was the best meal in Marrakesh.

Gluten free catered for - Really fabulous day all the staff were lovely. They catered very well for my husband being a coeliac. Going shopping into the market was fun. Definitely would recommend

Fun cooking class in a beautiful setting - We had a wonderful experience! The visit to the market to buy vegetables and spices was super useful and fun. I also enjoyed all the tips and tricks that I've learnt from the chef! it was not only a "follow the recipe" class, it was a hands-on, immersive cultural experience that I recommend to anyone who loves food. My group was small and everyone was so cool and nice, it was an added plus to have the pleasure of meeting them. It is a half-day activity though so make sure you don't have any plans that same afternoon!

Great fun experience! - This was such a fun way to find out more about Moroccon cooking/culture/people. Our hosts couldn't have been more helpful. The dishes were delicious and we enjoyed shopping in the market and learning about the local traditions with an expert. We were carefully led through how to make three courses by the chef, and we were not once made to feel anything except fabulous chefs ourselves!😊 Thank you to all.

A great experience - An absolutely great experience - from arriving in the beautiful riad and being warmly welcomed by Manuela to the market visit , the cooking lesson itself and the fantastic rooftop meal at the end - a huge thanks to the MonRiad team. Highly recommend - our family of 5 including 2 teenagers and a 12 year old all enjoyed it!

Great experience! Time well used👍 - Intresting and well explained Class. First a trip to the local marked to shop, lots of good tips and information about Marrakech and on the way there. Nice size group. Looking forward to try cooking at home
