Additional Information

This activity of camel riding is a popular attraction in Marrakech, given the fact that most guests are unable to do this in their native countries as camels are primarily found in Africa. The adventure includes a 1-hour camel ride through Marrakech’s palm grove, complete with transportation pick-up and drop-off. We may also accommodate additional people on the way, if more bookings are made. Upon a 30-minute drive to the palm grove, guests will be provided with blue traditional outfits before embarking on their camel ride. The journey, led by a guide, guarantees an authentic African and desert safari experience. This also gives an opportunity to give the Bedouin lifestyle a try. With a procession of camels and a guide in blue, complemented by blue outfits provided for the guests, the camel ride offers a genuine feel of the adventure.

Very nice! - It was a very nice and unique experience. The only thing i would mention is that the ride took 45 min, not 1 hour, but still i enjoyed it so much! I recommend it!

Great trip - We really enjoyed this camel ride and can highly recommend it. We were picked up at our hotel and dressed as Bedouins which was a lot of fun. We spend some time on the camels and got a really tasty tea at the end.

The sweetest four camels in Morocco - We were picked up by Ali at Jemaa el-Fna on time at 10:00 AM and our tour started: a 15 minute ride on Ali's 4WD to the palm grove during which we exchanged some language lessons (Ali taught me some Arabic and I taught him some Italian). Then we were received by our guides for the camel ride: they dressed us up in djellabas and turbans and we started a tour on our camels. Abdul, the guide in front of the camels, was very kind to us and lovable to the camels (which definitely cleared off any doubt of cruelty on the animals). He even made some camel-shaped rings out of palm leafs for the girls with us in the group. Then after the ride, we were offered tea that we drank with Ali and he was kind enough to show us how to properly wrap a turban around our heads, the Berber way!

Avoid Camel Riding - Went for afternoon camel riding experience. However was disappointed in my agreeing to participate. The exploitation of camels all in the aid of tourism is appalling. There is little or no animal welfare. There is no difference in my opinion between camels and elephants. Camel riding should be banned unless genuine welfare guidelines are met. Avoid. Avoid. Avoid.
