Set off in the morning around 9am for a 1-hour drive to the Moulay Brahim Gorges. Upon arrival, find a main trailhead with streams and paths diverging in all directions, where you will enjoy a delightful camel ride. Then, proceed to the Imlil valley, passing through numerous Berber villages. Once in Imlil, leave the vehicle and enter the village. Pause…
Set off in the morning around 9am for a 1-hour drive to the Moulay Brahim Gorges. Upon arrival, find a main trailhead with streams and paths diverging in all directions, where you will enjoy a delightful camel ride. Then, proceed to the Imlil valley, passing through numerous Berber villages. Once in Imlil, leave the vehicle and enter the village. Pause for a refreshing glass of mint tea before embarking on a 2-4 hour trek to Armed, the largest and highest village in the Imlil valley.
Afterward, trek to the Berber village of Ait Souka, passing through the hamlets of Ait Mizan, Targa, and Imoula. Stop in Tamatert to admire the view of ancient irrigated terraced fields of barley, corn, and vegetables, surrounded by cherry and walnut trees. Continue for another 30 minutes to reach the home of a local Berber family. Enjoy mint tea with the family in Ait Souka before descending to Azroul. Relish a lunch with the family, then start the return journey down the opposite side of the valley to Taourirt. Drive back to Marrakech, aiming for a 6:30pm arrival.
