Winter trek to Mt Toubkal - 15 (age 43- 55 years old) of us decided to go and climb Mt Toubkal. I contacted Mustapha (I found him through a Google search ) around six weeks before the trip. From the UK, we reached Marrakesh on 23rd February. He arranged everything, from pick up from the airport to drop off at the airport, all accommodation and meals at a reasonable price. We stayed the first night in Imlil, where we started the hike. After finishing the hike, he booked us in a nice hotel in Marrakesh ( hotel Del Rosa), where they served a lovely buffet, although we were very late, nearly midnight when we reached the hotel. Mustapha is a lovely, cheerful chap who is happy to accommodate all your reasonable requests. The hike itself was a lot more gruelling than we expected. We did decide to go for a winter trek despite advice that the winter hike is challenging. We wanted to do a winter hike, which was worth the pain. I would recommend Mustapha’s company.

Fabulous! Their 5* reviews are 100% deserved! - Initial contact was with Mustapha who responded quickly, I was a little concerned about our pick up in Marrakech but Mustapha gave me his WhatsApp number and everything went smoothly. We can not thank Ibrahim (our guide) and Hassen (our chef/mule 'driver') enough for doing such a great job. The food was great and there was plenty of it. Ibrahim was patient and knowledgeable, and celebrated with us at the summit even though he has done it 80+ times before. The hike is a challenge. We were there in June so very little snow/ice remained....only had to walk over about 10metres of it so no need for crampons. The weather was perfect and the views were stunning. The base camp was a lot better than I was expecting. Shared dormitories, but the possibility of a hot shower! Big thanks to Toubkal Trekking for doing such a great job, I would not hesitate to recommend them.

Amazing - Such a beautiful place, loved the walk and our guide was amazing. Abdul was such a laugh and helped us throughout the way without even breaking a sweat. Highly recommend anyone giving this a proper go.

Amazing experience with the help of wonderful Toubkal Trekking! - We were a group of 5 people from Serbia, and we climbed Toubkal in two days. The trip organization was exceptional! Our guide Hassan was so supportive and advised us well on altitude sickness, and was also a great company. The trip was so easy to organize since it was all done by email with Mustapha, who was responding to all our inquiries promptly and was able to provide us with everything we needed. We are very thankful for this experience! Highly recommended!

Toubkal climbing and cities tour - We were 20 people from Palestine and climbed Toubkal in 2 days. The trip organization was excellent. We started in Marrakech for 2 days tour then we climbed Toubkal, and after that, we went to Sahara and Marzooka, then to Fes, then Chefchaouen, and finally to Rebate. We visited all these places and cities with an amazing program. Food and transportation were excellent, and the guides were helpful and knowledgeable. I highly recommend this company... Mr. Mustafa and his wonderful team... Hussien, Mohammad, Abdullah, and others a big thank you. Toubkal 2 days in winter is a demanding climb, not easy and challenging.

Great experience. Worthwhile challenge and Toubkal Trekking made everything hassle free - Organising the trip was super easy and all done by email with Mustapha, and everyone from Toubkal Trekking I spoke with was very pleasant and helpful. The hike itself on day one felt quite easy, with plenty of breaks to snack and take in the views. We got to the refuge in the afternoon and spent the evening eating and chatting, before an early bed ready for the early start of the hike on day 2. Day 2 was a bit more challenging, particularly due to cold hands and the long descent which was hard on my knees (walking stick was a great ally). The whole hike we were guided very expertly by Mohamed, and it felt safe at all times. Had a great time both days and made lasting memories.

Great 2 day trip on Toubkal - The views are great and sunrise over the Sahara and nearby mountains is special. Imlil is a wonderful town with very friendly people that you should take time to enjoy if you can. Don't underestimate the climb or the altitude. Be sure to take headlamps an arrange for a sleeping bag. The guides are well trained and gently move you along but to also watch for signs of pushing too hard. We were unexpectedly stopped at a security checkpoint and asked for our passports which was unexpected so be prepared. This is in response to a terrorist attack in 2018. If you go in November, expect snow and ice. I favor microspikes over crampons for early season as you will be on and off rocks, snow, loose scree and ice along the way. Crampons are overkill and cannot be worn well in this type of hiking. The hostel is noisy, unconditioned and can be crowded as with many hostels If you can afford it, request private rooms. I think our company could have done a better job communicating with us in several areas but they were very responsive to follow up questions. We still prefer to work with local companies and guides and they did a great job all in all.

Highly recommended - We had a wonderful trip organized by Toubkal Trekking. We reached out proactively during the run-up to our trip and communication was good prior to our departure. Our driver was professional and helpful, even through we did not speak Arabic and our french proficiency was limited. Our guide, Hassan, was wonderful. We would love to work with him again on another trip if we have the chance - and would recommend him to anyone. He was friendly, kind, concerned with our safety, and knowledgable about the mountain. Our return trip home with the same driver was smooth. Overall a great exeperience!

Couple of hickups but overall really good - The experience started on a wrong foot, as no one came to pick us up at 9am. But after a tel call they quickly sent over a driver. During the briefing we learned they forgot to tell us to bring a head light, so we had to rent one (you need it as on the second day you start at 4am). Our guide took really good care of us and made sure we succeeded this challenge. We had hoped he would have given us a bit more information about the nature and environment, but his focus was mainly on serving us. On both days he and the mule man served us an amazing lunch! (Better than the dinner at the refuge) The refuge at the base camp is really base. When we were there it was super crowded so things quickly got unhygienic.
