Highlights
  • I Faraglioni - Emperor Augustus, was the first to tour the island’s pleasures, by nicknaming it “City of Sweet Idleness” and since then Capri has drawn every kind of daydreamer. A great rock soars like a dream lost in the cobalt blue sea that surrounds it: this is Capri, the Mediterranean jewel, yearned for and exalted in some of the world’s most famous lyric poetry. The intoxicating fragrance of flowers, delicate splashes of colour, recollections of a millennial past and a peaceful charm, shattered only by the shrill cry of seagulls, are just some of the magical qualities of this mythical isle.Fantastic grottoes, soaring conical peaks, caverns great and small, plus villas of Emperors and thousands of legends, brush Capri with an air of whispered mystery. The Blue Grotto is the most famous sight in the island of Capri, so at least once in your lifetime, you should experience this wonder of nature: after arriving with your private boat at the Blue Grotto you will hop aboard a wooden rowboat, lay back, and let yourself be carried through a tiny stone portal to another world by your able skipper, who navigates seamlessly under the meter-high cave mouth. In contrast to the intimate space and vivid color of the cavern, are the three peaks further out to sea, emerging from the azure blue water, pointing toward the sky: they are the Faraglioni and are famed for their breathtaking beauty and home of a variety of rare wildlife.

Highly recommended! - This is the way to see Capri! Amazing afternoon seeing the coastline, with caves and stunning views! Our boat captain provided great insights and a relaxing atmosphere. He arranged for a lovely stop for lunch, coordinating the timing and plan. Highly recommend and would do this again!

Fantastic Experience - The boat tour around the island was amazing, even better than we were expecting! I think being on a private boat really made the experience special, you pass many other boat tours, the majority of them crammed with people, which didn’t look great. The captain/tour guides, Pietro and Mariano, were excellent, very friendly and informative with a lot of recommendations, but also weren’t constantly trying to speak to us the full trip, giving us time to just relax and soak it all in. Overall fully recommend the trip!

Great way to see the sights! - Such a great way to see the island and all the beautiful grottos. Only negative - the caption’s English was not the best and he wasn’t the most friendly individual.

Gorgeous Views - This was the one tour my husband and I scheduled outside of our travel agency on our honeymoon. It was an easy ferry ride to the meeting point from our hotel in Sorrento. It was easy to find our guide and our boat was beautiful! We splurged on this on our trip and both of us were so glad we did! The boat tour was our favorite tour on our trip! We pulled into each grotto and our skipper even let us jump off the boat to swim into some of the caves by ourselves. We saw so many jaw dropping views of the Capri coast. It was such a wonderful experience with memories we will keep forever. Plenty of Peroni and even Limoncello on board :). We plan to do this tour again on our next trip!

Disappointing - We boarded the boat and our guide did not introduce himself or even speak for 3 hours of the trip. There were 7 clean towels for our group of 10. There was 4 bottles of water and four soft drinks floating in water in a cooler with no ice. We asked to go to the blue grotto and he told us 30-40 minute wait, which was expected. We waited there for nearly 90 minutes with several boats pulling in after us getting people into the grotto. He tried yelling a couple of time from a distance but was ignored. We finally just told him to leave as we did not want to spend most of the trip sitting and waiting. We then went around the island and headed Back into the port around 4:00. We asked if he could try to get us into the blue grotto as we had an hour left and he told us they close at 4, we later learned from one of the workers they close at “5-5:30”. He then tried to ask for money for beer and wine we drank out of the Cooler (only because there were no other beverages, all we really wanted was water). He was on his phone several times during the trip and very disconnected. The trip ended 45 minutes early at 4:15. My wife and I did a tour in 2016 and have been talking for years to our friends and kids as we planned this trip about what an incredible experience it was and are very disappointed we did not see the grotto and did not even get a 4 hour ride, much less any kind of tour. I reached out to the company rep I had been communicating with before writing a review hoping she would address this and try to make things right or at least apologize. I was called a liar on all fronts. Not one person in our boat even knows the name of the captain as he never introduced himself. I have never felt the need to leave a negative review about something before and am not high maintenance or a complainer but I would recommend staying away from this company. When I was doing my research, I did see a negative review and the company responded in a similar fashion to the way they responded to me. I thought maybe it was just somebody complaining that shouldn’t have. Do not make the same mistake we did.
