Wines of distinction start in the vineyard. Discover terroir and how Cape Mentelle’s coastal location becomes the essence to our winemaking philosophies. Take your own personal journey with our tour guide through the vineyard and winery discovering how we look at fruit in order to create wines of freshness, structure and elegance. Complete your experience with a structured tasting of our current release wines in our Cellar Door.

Fab winery tour and tasting with Leann at Cap Mentelle - Leann gave a comprehensive 1-hour behind-the-scenes tour knowledgably covering history of the vineyard, viticulture and winemaking. All delivered with great enthusiasm. Best tour ever at a vineyard and perfect prelude to wine tasting. Highly recommend

Terrific wine tour. - Kate was so enthusiastic and knowledgeable so it was an excellent tour and gave us a good insight into the combination of traditional methods and high technology used byCape Mentelle. Plus the wine tasting was great. Highly recommended.

One of the original Margaret River wineries - This winery is one of the outstanding wineries of the Margaret region. The wines are superb and the catering is excellent. Guests are given a thorough introduction to the art of wine making, its a great chance to sample the products of one of Margaret River's original wineries.

Lovely tasting experience - Lovely ladies hosting our tasting. It was busy when we arrived but quietened which improved the experience. Lots of knowledge and experience from our hosts.
Next time we’ll do the tour and lunch experience.

Wow! Great experience. - Leanne was a great guide show us through the vine to bottle of how they make their wine. Great knowledge, nice relaxing atmosphere and great wine. Highlights were trying the wine directly from the stainless vat, trying the grapes from two different varietals and the information she shared. A highlight of our trip. A must do.

Great tour and tasting ! - Spent a fantastic few hours having a guided tour of the winery by Leanne and then a guided tasting back at the tasting room. Very informative, relaxed and interesting. Both staff members we interacted with were so friendly and accommodating. Many thanks for such a great tour and tasting.

Great wine tasting experience - A great hour spent with Rachel Kerr taking us through the Cape Mentelle story and varieties. Spent a lot of time accommodating different pallets. Definitely worth including on the itinerary when visiting Margaret River. Look forward to receiving my first Mentelle Collection!

Immaculate winery with a very informative tour - This is one of the best winery tours, with a very welcoming team (book in advance !) sharing their enthusiasm about the history, processes and developments of the winery.
It is nicely complemented by a wine tasting session.
The dedication, sense of detail and perfectionism of everyone working there is tangible.
