This fascinating mountain is coated with natural salt produced by the saline water cascading down the hillside, saturating the terrace ponds. The salt is harvested as the water evaporates over time, sold locally and also exported internationally. While in Maras, take a leisurely walk around this quaint town, explore its historic heart, and savor the delightful scenery that surrounds it.
