Enjoy a relaxed 2.5 hour snorkeling and walking tour at Cabbage Tree Bay Aquatic Reserve in Manly, just a short hop from Sydney. This morning or afternoon tour gives both beginning and experienced snorkelers a chance to see some of the diverse marine life of Australia, launching right off the beach into calm waters with a variety of marine life. Your guide also takes your small-group, limited to 8 people, on a short walk on the headlands where you get great views of the Northern Beaches.
- Please wear closed-toe shoes suitable for walking
- Please bring swimwear, sunscreen, hat and towel
- Please note: wetsuit options are available to use on the day of travel: rash vest, spring wetsuit (short arms and legs) and steamers (full body suit)
- All participants must be able to swim 150 meters unassisted, float and tread water
- All medical requirements must be declared to our staff once booking is confirmed.
- Please note pregnant participants are not permitted to join the tour
- Children must be accompanied by an adult
- Cannot participate if you are pregnant
- If you can’t swim please do not book this tour.

We meet at Shelly Beach Manly in front of Boat House Cafe on the sand next to Palm trees. Look for our staff and flag. Arrive 5-10mins before tour start time.

Walk and snorkel, a must do in Australia! - Damian was a great tour guide, I really enjoyed his talk about the sea. No luck seeing whales today but that's the joy of nature!
Had a fantastic hour snorkelling despite how cold I was - I'm always cold!
It was a great experience, would do again and would highly recommend

Fun experience, definitely recommend! - Very fun! We saw cuttlefish, small sharks, many varieties of fish. Great guide, excellent experience. Definitely recommend!

Fun snorkeling - Easy snorkel tour from the beach. We saw a ton - 2 different sharks, 2 big cuttlefish, lots of fish and a stingray. The snorkeling is easy from the shore. Be sure to say yes to the wetsuit offered, the water is cold. Uber back from the beach was a pain - 25 mins for pickup and 45 mins off rush hour to get back to Circular Quay so that was a bit of a pain so plan accordingly.

From Echidnas to Dolphins to Sharks — Unforgettable Tour - ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Amazing tour with Ecotreasures! On land we spotted a shy echidna and even a pod of dolphins 🐬. Underwater was magical — sharks, stingray, schools of fish, and a jellyfish right beside me. Guide Sam was fantastic — knowledgeable, caring, and fun. Highly recommend!

Truly an amazing morning! - I was really looking forward to the snorkel and Damien did not let me down! Meeting up was punctual and easy to find. He took us on a 30 minute walk around the headland and this was really informative. I learnt a lot of eco info on the area and enjoyed the views and cute water dragons. It also helped to get the group together and become cohesive which was great. Damian showed us pictures of what we may see and also gave us a safety chat. Then we were off to gear up and head down to the beach entry. It was amazing. We saw cuttlefish, port Jackson sharks, rays and so many fish! For a Qlder it was so cold so lucky we had wetsuits on! The gear was good quality and worked well. I was so happy with everything I saw and loved the whole experience. Our group were so lovely and Damien’s friendly nature made it a snorkel to remember. I would 100% highly recommend this tour. Such a great morning. Thanks Damien.

This was a fun tour. ... - This was a fun tour. They had wetsuits for us that kept us warm in the water. They made sure we all kinds of fishes and Sharks.

wonderful first-time experience (fr Hong Kong family) - We joined the snorkel trip and nature walk with Ecotreasures and had an absolutely unforgettable experience 💙 Damien, the owner, was incredibly professional, attentive, and safety-conscious — especially with my sons who were snorkeling for the first time. He took time to guide them patiently and made sure they felt safe and supported throughout.
Damien was also very friendly, flexible, and truly understood our needs, ensuring we had the best possible experience. I read some older reviews that questioned his professionalism, and I genuinely don’t agree — what we saw was someone deeply committed to delivering quality service, skills / knowledge, and care. He goes above and beyond, and his focus on safety is clear and reassuring.
And the best part — we even got to see wild dolphins! 🐬 I’m sure we were lucky, but I also believe Damien’s deep knowledge of the area played a big part. This was a fantastic first-time adventure for our family, full of learning and joy — and at a very reasonable price.

Best snorkling experience - The walk was beautiful and the guide talked a lot about the nature and I learnt things I didn’t know before. Then the swim also was so cool! We had nice shots and the water was clear and calm. I would definitely recommend it to my friends who are visiting in summer.
