North Head Sanctuary - A nature refuge, bordered by dramatic cliffs, North Head Sanctuary, Manly, is located on the peninsula at the northern entrance to Sydney Harbour.
This place holds significance to the Traditional Owners and Custodians of the land, the Gayamagal people. As you explore the park’s coastal bushland, via dedicated bike tracks, you’ll discover diverse flora and fauna, military fortifications from World War II and signs of the nation’s early quarantine practices. Were it not for the unspoiled harbour views, it would be hard to believe you are only 11km from Sydney’s CBD. - Q Station Manly - History Experience - Sprawled across the hillside on the very edge of Sydney Harbour, the historic Quarantine Station has not only an impressive Sydney Harbour National Park location but also an incredible history behind.
-
International College of Management - The imposing structure dominating the northern Sydney’s beachside suburb’s landscape won world-wide acclaim when it was built by the Catholic Church between 1885 and 1889.
Established as the first National Catholic Seminary in Australia in 1889, Moran House and the Archbishop’s Residence (located on the Southern part of the precinct) was designed as a blend of Neo-Gothic and Romanesque styles.
The stone building is four storeys high with a six-level central belltower and a slate roof. A two-storeyed colonnade flanks the central entrance. - Shelly Beach - A beautiful beach located in Manly, a suburb of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. It is adjacent to North Head and Fairy Bower. Shelly Beach is a western facing beach on the eastern coast of Australia. Shelly Beach is part of the no take Cabbage Tree Bay Aquatic Reserve.
- Manly Beach - Manly is one of those magic beaches that has something for everyone. It spans 3km, so there’s lots of space to spread your towel on the soft white sand and relax all day. Perfect to cycle alongside it.

Biking Manly - We had a beautiful day biking around Manly. The bike shop owner was fantastic with his recommendations. We had e bikes and rented them for the day. They worked good for what we were doing for the day. With the e assist it was an easy bike ride.

Great views of Sydney and Pacific Ocean. Very helpful staff. The bikes were in excellent condition. - The staff was very helpful in planning the ride, and discussing local bike-riding conventions. The wildlife of a nearby creek trail included roosting fox bats and birds.

Manly North Heads - The bikes were great, but more than that - as an older couple I'd just like to say that these young fellas went above and beyond to make us feel ok and capable of the bike tours (which we were but sometimes that's not acknowledged). Super friendly, respectful, knowledgeable. Would def hire from them again 100%!

A great way to see the town - Rented two hybrid bikes, and a kids bike to explore Manly. It was a bit much for my 10 year-old to ride on the roadway so we returned her bike a little early and I rode down the beach and explored the town a bit. Fairly priced and the bikes are in good condition. Would definitely do this again.

Biking in Manly was a highlight of our trip - The day we visited Manly the town was pretty quiet, so we decided to rent bikes. The team at the bike shop were very friendly, and very thorough. They went over all the components of the bike, helped size the seats and helmets, and shared a phone app to guide our trip. Pro tip: If your phone’s roaming data plan is slow, walk across the street to the visitor’s center at the ferry building and use their free WiFi. Say hello as well—they were super nice. There are several bike routes to choose from. We chose to ride to the North Head park lookout, using hybrid bikes (not e-bikes). The route is up hill all the way, starting with some very steep climbs on residential streets early in the ride, followed by much more gradual rises to the park. We are intermediate riders and were fine on all the route but one very steep section (1 block long) that we walked up. I’d suggest a casual rider should get e-bikes for this route. We rode to the lookout (amazing views), stopped at a cafe in the park for refreshments, and rode back to the bike shop in just under two hours.

A great way to see the wider Manly area - We hired e-bikes and did one of Manly Bikes recommended routes - which was self guided. The staff plotted the route for us in Google maps and it took us to some lovely locations in the Manly area. The e-bikes were great and had phone holders, bottle holders and a small handle bar bag which was about 3 litres in size. Good value for money bike hire.
