Great experience - This was a great experience. Both Danny and Alex were very personable, knowledgeable and fun. They shared lots of local knowledge of Manchester and their pride in Manchester was obvious.

Manchester’s got Everything - Excellent tour, me and my husband really enjoyed it. Our tour guide (Gideon) was very knowledgeable and even though we both are from Manchester and still live there, we learnt a lot. The places we visited were very interesting and the food was great. We would definitely recommend this tour. Thank you Gideon!

Not your usual 'food tour', this one celebrates the city! - I've done food walking tours in other places, and this was different in exactly the way I want. Rather than obsessing about historical dishes or modern food trends Danny did a great job of using food to illustrate and share the stories and history of Manchester. An excellent family run pizzeria that prioritises local food and a sustainable philosophy was a fascinating contrast to Sam's Chop House which is genuinely famous piece of the city's history. Manchester's unexpected connections to sushi, eid, and brut champagne - Danny clearly gets a thrill from sharing these stories of his city. If you want numbers and dry facts then go on a 'blue badge' tour, use a guidebook or Google. If you want stories and 'the gravy on your chip barm' you want a tour exactly like this one.

Manchester on a whim - My wife and I visited Manchester on a whim. Dan was our guide. He was professional and informative. It was a very interesting tour. We stopped at several restaurants for snacks, all arranged by Dan in advance. Smooth and organised. We loved it, plus he gave us red roses, as it was valentines day.

A huge disappointment - Far too expensive, even by Manchester standards, for what it offers: History lacking accuracy and, except for the corned beef hash at Sam's served by 83 years old George, hardly Manchester gastronomy.
