Fantastic Food Tour – A Must-Do in Manchester! - I had a fantastic experience on the Cottonopolis tour with Flavours of Manchester. It was a brilliant way to explore the city while discovering some of Manchester’s best food spots.
The tour was very well organised and struck the perfect balance between great food and interesting stories about the city’s history and culture. Each stop offered something different, and the quality of the food was excellent. It felt like a real journey through Manchester’s food scene rather than just a series of tastings.
Our guide was knowledgeable, friendly, and clearly passionate about both Manchester and the local food community. They created a relaxed atmosphere and shared plenty of interesting insights along the way.
Whether you’re visiting Manchester or you live here and want to discover new places, I would absolutely recommend this tour. A great experience from start to finish!

Cottonopolis food and reasons why - This was a most excellent food tour. I’ve been touring for the past week and a half throughout Europe and this has been the best tour to the point that this is the only review that I’ve ever bothered to write. Danny’s extensive depth of knowledge of the area and historical significance of the industrial age, and how it impacted the area and resulted in the food developing the way it has was very informative and enjoyable. Will definitely try to book his other tours.

Fantastic 😍 - Loved this tour! Food was fantastic and in a load of places I never would have considered going. Danny was SO knowledgeable about Manchester and loved all the history of the cotton industry. Never knew where the word hangover came from! Highly recommend!

Great food, great experience!! - We had a great time on tour with Danny! He took us to a great variety of places all of which had incredible food which I’ll definitely be returning to. We loved how he had a great story with every place we visited, was super interesting.

Highly recommend - What a great tour! I did the Taste of Manchester tour with my boyfriend after it was recommended to me by a friend, and I will certainly be recommending it to others. I picked up loads of interesting facts about Manchester, and the food, drink and company were great. Thanks Danny!

An exceptionally tasteful and intriguing experience - I went on this tour with friends and what an experience it was. Superb venues with fantastic food based on the historical movements of the city. Danny was extremely knowledgeable about the history of the city and how its has grown into the present day.

Great afternoon in Manchester - Flavours of Manchester Walking Tour – Absolutely Brilliant!
What a fantastic experience! Danny was an incredibly knowledgeable and engaging guide who took us to quirky, off-the-beaten-track pubs and hidden food spots we’d never have found on our own. The food and drinks were excellent at every stop — a real mix of unique flavours and local favourites. For the quality of the experience, it’s outstanding value for money. Highly recommended to anyone wanting to taste and explore a different side of Manchester!

Absolutely brilliant!!! - My friend was visiting me in mcr and I thought that this would be a really good way for her to see some places that you might not usually go to or even know about. I’ve lived in mcr for 3 years now and had never been to any of the places we went before so it was really cool to find some hidden gems that I wouldn’t have found otherwise. It’s a really nice set up that they have of stopping for some food and then a 10-15 min walk to the next place with some facts along the way, which is perfect as it helps you feel a bit less full inbetween! All of the food stops had clearly been really well thought out and the surrounding area that they were in was rich in history. It was a good amount of time for the tour aswell we didn’t feel rushed at all. Marina was so lovely and made the tour really enjoyable!! Thank you so much!!

Such a cool activity!! - Was such a lovely experience, I went with my friend who lives in mcr and it was such a cool way to see the city. All of the food was really yummy and I got to try some things that I wouldn’t have normally had. The history of mcr is so much more interesting than I realised. It was such a cool experience would definitely reccomend!!
