Best recommendation by concierge at the hotel and now we know why. - I will start out with the one negative point. We were picked up 40 minutes late because another guest from another hotel had overslept. In the opinion of everyone we spoke to those people should have been left behind and forfeited their payment as our whole day was affected by their tardiness. Now for the positive. We boarded a large Turkish built sailboat in Marfa on Malta’s northwest coast and in short order were cruising up to Comino to quickly see the Blue Lagoon and caves. We then proceeded to Gozo where we disembarked and were assigned to small 4x4 vehicles. We drove around the island in the open air vehicles on benches where we could see all of the country side. We made several stops for pictures including the site of the now collapsed Azure Window andBlue Hole. I we stopped for lunch at a small village B&B where we hada nice buffet lunch with wine. Half of our group had opted to continue visiting sites on Gozo while our half had chosen to take the boat to Comino. We stopped briefly in the blue lagoon where a couple of people chose to swim in the 16C water. We then carried on to St Mary’s Bay where you had the choice of going to a beach. Walking around or hiking to the medieval tower at the top of the island. There was wine available onboard and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. We returned to Gozo to pick up the other half of the group and then continued around Comino before returning to Malta and our hotels. The friendliness of the staff as well as the sunny weather made it a most enjoyable day.

Great Day Trip - A great day trip. We were taken on the boat over the Gozo and then split into small groups and put in jeeps with others depending on your preferred language option. Our tour guide George was great and really knowledgeable. There were plenty of stops for photos before going for lunch then back to the boat where there were two optional swim stops before picking up the rest of the group and doing a boat tour of Comino Island. Lunch was great and the whole tour was well organised.

Best way to visit Gozo in one day - On the jeep you don't feel high temperature and you can visit the most important places on Gozo. Our tour guide Nikodem was well expirienced about history and tradition of Malta. We recommend travelling with him. Also good experience in swimming at Blue Lagoon with captain Cris. Thank you Barbarossa team!

Love Gozo jeep tour - Memorable visit to Gozo. Loved the different places, that gives us am overviews of the island, loved the colours of the water. Nick was a super friendly guide and the jeep tour was very well organised, being each jeep independent, so we don’t have to wait to other and can have our own private experience.

Good for couples and groups, Not ideal for children under 10 - Boat was great but a little bit crowded, wine was half star. The day was planned out nicely. Swimming spots were nice, deep clear water. The Jeep ride through Gozo was fun and Johnny (our driver) was friendly and attentive. Our son 5yo was by far the youngest person on the boat but had a good time. Keep a good eye on your young children during your time on the boat!

Good day fun trip - Very good and professional. Our safari jeep tour guide was Thomas, very friendly and knows a lot about Malta and history. The lunch was not good for me, only some salad, tuna and bread. The boat trip was very good, nice and polite crew.

Expensive for what it is - Expensive for what it is. The jeep part was a bit boring, not much to see. It’s literally just driving round squeezed into the back of a very uncomfortable jeep. There are only a couple of very quick stops for pictures. Lunch wasn’t anything special. The boat bit was my fav bit. Nice and relaxing. Couple of stops to swim and sunbathe. I really wouldnt bother with the optional €10 speedboat trip into the caves, that was dull.

They will scam you. - I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone. Started bad when the lady couldn’t give me the address to the pick up point. Then we started with the Jeep which was great but I was paired with Italians and my guide barely spoke English to me. Then this is where it got worse. That boat in the picture is not what you get. Instead you were put in a 18 foot boat with 55 other people with no room and go To two spots. I heard the safaris guy say something happen to boat asked for A partial refund and hears nothing back.

Unorganised, Dirty, crowded boat cramped jeeps - pure torture - Words fail me as to why I paid to go on this excursion, from start to finish it was organised chaos with transfers, waiting for 1.5 hours for everyone to board, then setting off in cramped conditions. I could not move my arms we were packed in so tightly. No dialogue so didn’t know where we were except for a really long stop when they charged €12 for a few minutes to go in a cave. Everything done on the cheap, even the water container was un touchable, dirty, hot plastic yuck. Didn’t try the red wine. No safety conscious crew, captain (?) on mobile all the time. Blue lagoon - had to get down a rickety ladder away from shore, near jelly fish. The boat is old and in need of tlc, not full of character, just dirty and worn out. The jeeps were lined up on shore and 6 adults per small jeep. This is where we said Chow enough was enough. We spoke to a lady manager who needs a course in customer service, her words were I will argue everything, you can’t please everyone. Looking at the glum, fed up faces of travellers that had paid €80 for this excursion, she was pleasing nobody .
