Best tour guide ever!!!! - Our tour through Gozo and Comino islands was beyond everything we could have imagined! Our tour guide Steven made our tour fun and he was super informative! He knew all the most beautiful parts of the island and we were absolutely blown away by him! I would highly recommend this tour and Steven as a tour guide! We would definitely do another tour with Barbarossa next time we are back in Malta!!

Great experience to see the best of both islands!! - The whole experience was great!! We booked through our hotel and we were picked up at the hotel at 08:30 and were taken to the bay at the north of Malta, where the boat was waiting for us and the other groups. The first half was at Comino Island, we went to Santa Maria Bay for the first hour, then we went to the Blue Lagoon where we stayed for 1hour and 30minutes and we had lunch. The lunch was simple but nice and varied, some pasta, tuna, bread, salad, etc. During our time at the Blue Lagoon, the boat stayed in the middle of the lagoon so heads up if you don’t know how to swim but you can ask for a life jacket if you want. We were also offered to visit the caves for €10 extra, it is just caves but it is nice to see them closed up and on the way back to the main boat, the cave boat speeds up and it is great fun. On the main boat there is unlimited water and white wine and toilets. The whole boat experience was great and the crew was very attentive and helpful. The second half of the trip was in Gozo, we were taken to these Jeeps with a capacity of 4/5 people and the driver took us around the whole Island of Gozo. A really big shout to our driver, Mario, he was absolutely fantastic!! He explained what we were going to do, then also explained what we were seeing and a bit of history of the place. Mario also made sure to stop so that we could take photos and if we needed anything, he was more than welcomed to help. During this Jeep safari we had a few stops to go toilet and have a drink or a snack. In general, the whole experience was well organised and everyone from the team was very welcoming, nice and ready to help.

Best recommendation by concierge at the hotel and now we know why. - I will start out with the one negative point. We were picked up 40 minutes late because another guest from another hotel had overslept. In the opinion of everyone we spoke to those people should have been left behind and forfeited their payment as our whole day was affected by their tardiness. Now for the positive. We boarded a large Turkish built sailboat in Marfa on Malta’s northwest coast and in short order were cruising up to Comino to quickly see the Blue Lagoon and caves. We then proceeded to Gozo where we disembarked and were assigned to small 4x4 vehicles. We drove around the island in the open air vehicles on benches where we could see all of the country side. We made several stops for pictures including the site of the now collapsed Azure Window andBlue Hole. I we stopped for lunch at a small village B&B where we hada nice buffet lunch with wine. Half of our group had opted to continue visiting sites on Gozo while our half had chosen to take the boat to Comino. We stopped briefly in the blue lagoon where a couple of people chose to swim in the 16C water. We then carried on to St Mary’s Bay where you had the choice of going to a beach. Walking around or hiking to the medieval tower at the top of the island. There was wine available onboard and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. We returned to Gozo to pick up the other half of the group and then continued around Comino before returning to Malta and our hotels. The friendliness of the staff as well as the sunny weather made it a most enjoyable day.

Great Day Trip - A great day trip. We were taken on the boat over the Gozo and then split into small groups and put in jeeps with others depending on your preferred language option. Our tour guide George was great and really knowledgeable. There were plenty of stops for photos before going for lunch then back to the boat where there were two optional swim stops before picking up the rest of the group and doing a boat tour of Comino Island. Lunch was great and the whole tour was well organised.

Good for couples and groups, Not ideal for children under 10 - Boat was great but a little bit crowded, wine was half star. The day was planned out nicely. Swimming spots were nice, deep clear water. The Jeep ride through Gozo was fun and Johnny (our driver) was friendly and attentive. Our son 5yo was by far the youngest person on the boat but had a good time. Keep a good eye on your young children during your time on the boat!

Overall for what we paid and what we got we were very disappointed. - The trip did not meet our expectations as described in the tour description. 1) was not a hotel pick up and we ended up picking up several locations having a full van for a 2 hr drive to meet the boat. 2) The boat was over crowded by at least 10 people, to the point someone had to sit on a table. 3) When we finally got to the jeep safari, we had to cram in the back of a small jeep really designed to fit four, we had 6 people. It was not comfortable at all. 4) The jeep tour was lacking with info and no real time to enjoy the sights or take much pictures. 5) The conditions of the jeeps and boat were poor, worn equipment. 6) Finally we had to reverse the drop off process so it took another hour plus to get back to our hotel. Over all for what we paid and what we got, very disappointed and would not recommend this trip.

Very disappointing - The day before, we warn you that it is too windy and therefore there will be no stop in Comino, just a day in a jeep on Gozo. Your day begins with a van that picks you up in front of a hotel other than yours, 30 minutes late. Then you tour hotels to pick up other tourists to finally arrive and take a crowded boat where people are crammed together. You still pass through Comino but without stopping. Arrival in Gozo, you start your safari in a Jeep but without the guide who speaks French so you have a day in a Jeep with 4 stops and that's it. Any lunch: tomato, pasta, rice, potatoes, tuna and watermelon. Wine and water. Paid coffee. Return in the evening by ferry without explanation. And again touring the hotels to finally be dropped off in front of another hotel. A day that lasts 10 hours with magnificent landscapes, of course, but it's totally useless to go through Barbarossa and pay 75€ per person!

Avoid tourist trap - Tourist trap, very disappointing, we were sold a dream... the shuttle that was supposed to pick us up from our hotel arrived 1/2 hour late. First stop of the boat 3/4 hour on Comino beach then return on the boat towards blue lagoon, we were asked to pay 10 euros per person to get off the boat for 15 minutes then have a decent lunch on the boat and finally departure for Gozo. Once there we left in the jeep, we were assured that we would have a French guide. The only French guide also speaks Spanish but being requisitioned for a Spanish group we were assigned an English guide. 6 of us found ourselves crammed into a jeep, impossible to move or take a photo because we were so crowded, the guide didn't comment on anything and in any case with the speed and the wind we wouldn't have heard anything, he just said take us from one point to another. We made 4 stops to take a few photos, knowing that during the last stop we only went down for 2 minutes to take a photo then the guide rushed us to get back in the car because we had to be at the boat at 4:30 p.m. In the end, there is no point in doing this excursion which is very expensive for what we did, run away.
