Amazing way to experience the true side of Crete - One of the best days of our stay on Crete. Our driver Andreas was amazing. At the beginning of the trip he said we would be his family for the day and it truly felt like it. He did a really good job of mixing the group so we all felt comfortable and safe, even on the bumpy roads in the mountains. Andreas is very knowledgeable about Crete and taught us a lot. All the sites we visited were interesting and there was an opportunity to do a bit of shopping (but there was no pressure at all to buy anything). The lunch served in the taverna with a sea view was absolutely delicious. We asked for a vegetarian option and there was no problem. Overall it was an amazing experience.

Let’s go Safari! - Amazing tour experience with go Crete safari. We were a group of 3 friends and we enjoyed lots! The rout to Sarakina gorge is really beautiful and the 2 guides Nontas and Nikos made it also interesting and knowledgeable. Absolutely recommend to give it a try, especially if never went safari or even if you know that’s the best way to reach unseen places!

I was left underwhelmed… - I was really excited about this trip but just felt a little disappointed, whether it be that my standards were too high or it just wasn’t what I was expecting I don’t know? However I was not disappointed with our driver George as he was lovely and drove really safely so this review is NOT a reflection on him. The trip just wasn’t to my taste! First up was the olive oil tour and we were put into a stuffy room to be shown pictures on an A5 piece of paper. Then we were ushered outside to dip some stale crumbs into oil and lick honey off of a stick. There was a gift shop but very crowded. Not sure what I was expecting but when you hear the word “tour” I would think you would walk round?? Next was the pottery farm and you did have the option to have a go. Totally my fault that I didn’t it’s just because of how crowded it was. Everyone was friendly and it was amazing watching how it was sculpted. We had a quick stop on top of a mountain and the only thing I would say although it was a beautiful view I felt a bit unsafe as it was so windy and the terrain was a bit rocky! (Obviously as it’s a mountain) Then it was a quick pit stop for snacks and raki tasting. Nice touch as didn’t know it was included. Throughout all of this on the way to each stop George was very informative telling us everything about the island and the scenery was incredible! We then stopped at a waterfall. Just a word of warning as this wasn’t said when we started YOU NEED TO CLIMB. For younger children, older people or people with reduced mobility this is NOT SUITABLE!!!!! I was really looking forward to the waterfall only to be greeted with a green algae filled puddle and a trickle like someone was having a wee! In their defence they did say that the water got less and less each day as the snow was not on the mountains and the day previous there had been a steady stream. Last stop was a beautiful beach with crystal clear waters and a really yummy lunch in a taverna before the ride home. Was a positive end to the day! All in all like I said before this trip just wasn’t for me and others may love it. This was NOT a reflection on the staff as they were lovely.
