Best Beach Day to date! - We had the best time - everything was amazing! The beach was clean, chairs comfortable, The drink service was on top of everything - very quick to take orders and help. The best part - the food! We have never experienced a better lunch - the grilled lobster was the best I have ever had - highly recommend that everyone tries a date pass at Nacional Beach Club!

A1 service - Really enjoyed ourselves. The weather was very overcast but the palapa were great to lay under and listen to the waves. The dinner we had was excellent and the bar staff kept our drink a coming! lol

Great food, great views, great day off the cruise ship! - Went on a cruise and booked through trip advisor instead the cruise line to save on some money and WE LOVED IT!!! This place was truly incredible and such a nice vibe! Our server was amazing and so attentive and the food was 10/10! We enjoyed multiple lobster tails, jumbo shrimp, steak, veggies, chips and salsa, and tons of fresh fruit! The drinks were also delicious and quick with it! PRO TIP: Make sure your taxi takes you all the way to the beach club or get the taxi cabs number because Nacional vip service will cover the taxi ride! We got dropped off not at the club, a lil down the street, and without knowing any better paid for the taxi drive!

A lovely relaxing day at the beach. - Nacional is a much smaller venue for a beach day allowing approximately 40 or so guest to have a more relaxing beach experience. Even though it was high season they were not very busy, which suited me just fine. They have an excellent beach that was free and clear of seaweed as well as having a nice comfortable lounger with a 3" thick lounging pad. The food and drinks were very nice. My brother and I enjoyed the Restaurant for our dinning, and while he was getting his massage I hung out at the small pool near-by and chatted with some other guest. Over-all I would have to say this was one of the highlights of our trip! And I would recommend highly if you intend on staying away from the more active party atmosphere!

Costa Maya Hidden Gem - I’ve been to Costa Maya well over 20 times now; we’ve tried most of the “resorts”, excursions, A la carte beach clubs, etc… Nacional is a bit pricey, but well worth your investment. You can shop around on some 3rd party apps, but unless you get a Black Friday deal, it’s pretty much the same price. Transportation is included as well as towels. Bathrooms are clean and monitored. The food is fresh and hearty, keep in mind this is Authentic Mexican food, not Tex Mex.. order accordingly. Drinks are strong and cold. Beach chairs have actual cushions, not just thin mats. Yes they have Vendors, so does every beach in town..just say no. We felt safe and well appreciated! We will be back, you should try it, you won’t be disappointed.

This was a wonderful... - This was a wonderful beach and awesome food and drinks. They greeted use at the front and welcomed us. The food, drinks and beach are wonderful. I just wish I would have known that there is a sandbar that runs across the beach and you have nowhere to swim. I took my 12 year old granddaughter for her birthday and she was sad that you can not go out and just float. We had a great time anyway because of the wonderful food and beauty of it all.

Busy beach business, great service - I loved it- great service, food and drinks! The Nutella crepe!! There are a lot of vendors, so that may bother some. Two of my family members didn’t enjoy it as much- thought food was just ok, maybe add activities.

Relaxing no crowds - Perfect day, relaxing on the beach with your own personal server. Nice pool and swim up bar & a large hot tub with no children allowed. Food was good drinks were great

Changes Or Cancelations After Payment Very Difficult, Regardless Of Policy. - This review is not focused on the venue. That part of the experience was fine and mostly as expected. I am writing because I want those who are considering this venue to understand that in the event you need to make any changes once you have made payment that process may prove very difficult. I helped organize a cruise with a group of friends from church. We ended up with a group of 20 people for this excursion, which was most of our group. I had some challenges very early on (4-6 months prior to arrival) when I realized that we qualified for lower pricing due to a group rate that is offered on the website. Getting that pricing modified was a long, difficult process, that I won't detail here as this will be too long as it is. I ended up never receiving part of that discount (although I was told it would be refunded). As the unofficial group organizer I had a lot of details to handle so I chose not to pursue that as it was less than $40. One week prior to leaving for our trip one member of our group was unable to travel due to a very ill pet. I immediately reached out to cancel that reservation - a full 7 days prior to our arrival. Initially there was pushback about "last minute" cancelations. After some additional messaging back and forth it was indicated that it would "fine". I asked for specific clarification and all messages stopped. When our group arrived I spoke to Ana and also to Evan (owner). Both assured me that the situation "was all good " and said they just wanted to confirm who would actually "show up " on the day. I circled back with each of them a couple of times that day to ask what, if anything, they needed from us to assure the refund. They were warm and friendly and told me that it was all good. My friend, (who's husband is the one who could not come) also checked in with them and was told it was fine. No refund was issued. I reached out multiple times after waiting 2 -3 weeks after our visit to see the refund. I was told two of those times that my message was passed along to Evan. My messages have been friendly and respectful. I have been patient and clear about this situation but my messages are no longer even being opened. Moral of this story is do not book this excursion unless you are ok with potentially losing the funds should something happen and you would need to cancel. Having a nice venue where your goal is to pamper your guests and provide a lasting memory is great. Choosing how you treat guests, (especially those who have unfortunate circumstances), before - and after their visit, to me, is equally important because it reveals sincerity in caring about the entire experience. Not just the few hours spent at the club. Attempting to resolve this situation has been stressful and frustrating and it never needed to be - as it was something very easily resolved. Very disappointed.
