great place to see mayan ruins - The tour was conducted by guides that knew the area and shared interesting information. It was a small group so no overcrowding. They allowed time to explore. You can climb up a little ways on the ruins so that was fun. The monkeys were fun to watch swinging in the trees. They provided water and ac van/bus. We enjoyed it.

Highly recommended! - We did a Toucan Tour on February 8th, 2024. From the time we were picked up to the time we returned to the ship, we had a great time! We heard a lot of interesting things and were given information about the Mayan ruins. The route was followed as indicated. At each point we had enough time to visit, take photos and swim on a wonderful beach. We can only recommend this tour to everyone! Best wishes and a big thank you to the team. Anita and Julia

Grateful. - Tucan Tours is an awesome company! They really helped us out of a jam when we got off at the port and the company we booked with (located across the street from Tucan) had totally flaked out and left without us on what had been falsely advertised as a "private" tour. Turns out it was a big, overpriced group tour (yuck), and we were left S.O.L. after arriving 5 minutes late. Enter Tucan... ready to salvage the day and take us on a private tour for a lower cost to the Mayan ruins we'd come to see. Our driver Victor was wonderful. He spoke perfect English, but was happy to let us practice our Spanish with him. His car was comfortable, clean, well air conditioned, and safe. The tour we took was very enjoyable - we loved every minute of it! I'm grateful to this company for rescuing us from the other one. If you're in the area, and you need trustworthy tour guides, you can't go wrong with Tucan!

Chacchoben Yes! - Our guide was super knowledgeable and funny! Our group was small so it made it so much better. Our only hiccup was waiting at the port for the other guests to arrive. Made us rush the excursion. Otherwise pretty solid adventure!

Good time - It was a great tour, but we were unable to do the beach break due to time. That’s only reason for 4 stars.

Great way to see the ruins - The ruins are wonderful and our tour guide was engaging and fairly knowledgeable. The van was comfortable. The beach area was expensive and limited, but the water was beautiful.

Amazing! Thanks Jean Carlos! - It was an absolutely amazing tour! Jean Carlos, Eliseo, and Julio did an amazing job of getting us to the ruins, giving us Mayan history as well as cultural observances still in effect today, and making it fun! Jean Carlos is hilarious and even my kids (12 and 8) had a blast listening to him and learning about his culture. The ONLY reason I give it 4 instead of 5 stars is because the transportation doesn’t have the best AC and we were hotter on the bus than in the open air, and they actually ran out of waters and the last 8-10 people to the boat didn’t get waters after hiking up the ruins and walking around. They DID stop for more water on the way back, but I had a migraine at that point from the heat so the water only did so much. I would still highly recommend this to anyone! Do know that most of the tour is very flat, but is on a gravel/sandy road so if balance or uneven ground is an issue then maybe reconsider.

Anticlimactic - Very loooong walking tour.....& Long drive in bus. Location was well groomed, and clean Our TourGuide was very knowledgeable about the Ruins as well as the culture. Overall, though, it was anticlimactic at best.

Frustrated and disappointed - Did not get to take it. Meeting point was too far from the ship….took a lot of asking where the way is to port exit. 40 minutes of walking and have not seen it. They should assign someone by the entrance from cruise ship to guide. We are so disappointed and wasted my miney.
