Beach day - They're very nice and made sure we were taken care of. I enjoyed our day there. The food was delicious and the drinks were really good. Beach was very refreshing.

An enjoyable day! - Our group of 10 ladies really enjoyed a day with Jackie and her staff. They set us up on beachfront lounge chairs and could not have been more accommodating. The food and drinks provided with our package were great! The beach area is small so if you are wanting a large, sandy, beach resort, this may not be for you. We enjoyed the water, walking on the malecon and supporting the local vendors. Thank you, Jackie and the rest of the staff! We will be back!

My New Beach Club in Puerto Costa Maya (Mahahual) - Chilangaloense Beach Club was a wonderful place to go for privacy and personalized service. This is not a place with a hundred beach chairs - it's an intimate beach Club where they wait on you like you're family. The owners and servers went out of their way to make us feel like we were the only people on the beach. Special shout out to Paulo! And, the food and drinks were exceptional!

Family vaca 2022 - Let me start by saying, I understand to survive and support your self/family the locals must try and sell their merchandise, but it is a little overwhelming when someone is asking you to purchase something every few minutes. The beach is supposed to be relaxing but you really can’t with someone asking you to purchase something every few minutes. The area was ok. My family just enjoyed being together.

Mixed reviews - We have been to multiple beach clubs, and this was the most “rustic”. When we first arrived, we almost turned around and went back to the ship because it didn’t feel safe. But then, the family who runs it greeted us and showed us to our seats and cabana. They were very kind and incredibly good hosts. The facilities looked worn—some of the beach chairs were old and there were a few leftover cans from before, but the sun came out and then the local ladies came to give us five-minute complimentary massages. This led to several of us agreeing to longer massages, and we all agreed this was a turning point. It helped us relax. Then, the free food and drinks came. They were generous portions, and some of the prettiest food! I was surprised at how yummy it was! We ended up staying the duration. Our party had mixed reviews. Some couldn’t get past the disappointment of the quality of the space. (When we arrived, it smelled really bad. I think this is because of the algae that gathers on the beach. In addition, the water just isn’t pretty because it has algae nets all over.) And some loved that it felt more like authentic Mexico. So, if you want a resort-feel, this may not be the place for you. However, if you appreciate local flavor, we highly recommend the service of this place. You will not be disappointed with the food and drinks!

Better take a taxi and ask for a good beach. - It was not what was promised. Snorkling and Wifi were supposed to be included, it was not. Shower and taps did not work, and bathrooms are filthy. The beach itself is so-so. The main issue is that they call their place "Beach Day Facilities #1 on Tripadvisor", which is a misrepresentation.

Small shop and beach area - We were expecting a resort experience and were pleasantly surprised by service and food, but this is not a beach club at all. It is a small area with wooden tables and wooden loungers with pads. There were 6 loungers none were in the sun and the beach was covered with seaweed.

Don't politicize my travel! - Tripadvisor sent more emails than I ever wanted, which is fine. I love to explore new places virtually. BUT please don't give me Pride destinations. I don't want any agendas shoved down my throat in the guise of "travel" recommendations. Keep it about exploring the world please! For this reason I'M OUT Trip Advisor!!!
