Love the beach with drinks/food - Our trip was awesome, LOVED the ceviche !!! IS a must-try. From the cruise ship, it's a 5 min drive. They will pay for your taxi on the way there and back. Lupita the massage lady is an awesome very nice person and attentive. My daughter also had some braids to her hair loved it and the last 3 days. The drinks are good, beers are good, and very attentive people coming to you all the time. Vendors come and go very politely not pushy. The strip is located others around felt secure and safe. Loved the chairs and sitting area to eat. The food was awesome, chimichanga, quesadillas. All the staff was great and friendly. I couldn't say anything negative about this place.

Great time was had by all!!! - A lot smaller than I thought, and luckily they picked us up from a cantina nearby the security gate. The service was absolutely excellent. The food was out of this world! We snorkeled, even though it wasn’t very warm and it was cloudy on the day we went. Lots of beer was consumed, because we were hesitant to drink the water. My mom did have a margarita and said it was terrific! Then switched to beer. We had a great time. The hospitality was wonderful! The taxi back to the cruise ship was 4.00 apiece! We all brought our own snorkel equipment. We didn’t walk around the town, but it was busy! The police walking around with machine guns kinda worried me, but they are there to keep us safe. I definitely would recommend this excursion! Thanks for a great day!

Honest Review - First off the taxi ride is free to get there from the restaraunt you have to pay your way back afterwards ($8).The beach area was small and fenced (netted) had too swim under the net to get into deeper waters. The water was beautiful and turquoise like in the pictures tho to my surprise. The food was not good to my taste and you can only choose one item off of the menu per person(unlimited snacks tho). The drinks are unlimited and were pretty good disappointed I didn't even get a nice buzz going (Im a big vato). Also too many people walking up to you trying to sell merchandise probably once every 10 min got annoying real quick. The area where you sit and rest is not beach club vibes it's definitely hood. I would recommend this place but it's not for everyone I'm just trying to be as honest as possible that way you won't be surprised. I still enjoyed this place the beach (Swim area) was beautiful and I'm from the hood too so Ive been around everyone needs to make money. 🌟 🌟 🌟 stars. 2/16/23

Great service but a little too quiet - I will start by saying we did not luck out with great weather so we were the only guests. The staff were highly attentive and the food was very good to delicious. However the beach area was tiny with little else to do since sunbathing was not ideal. If you like massages, there were several available for very inexpensive and the stay included a short demo massage that was very nice

When we first arrived we... - When we first arrived we thought we had been scammed. The place is run down, the water is muddy, the food on the “special” menu for Pre paid guests was ordinary at best. Customers who simply walked in were given a different menu and the food looked really good. The highlights of our visit were a massage paid separately and the homemade tortillas.

Incorrect advertising - We were excited for this trip because it states there is snorkeling right off of the beach. We brought snorkel gear, flippers, and towels. When we arrived the beach was blocked off by a barricade and you could not even get in water deep enough to swim. Maybe there is a reef, but not one you can swim to from shore. Also, the tour started at a restaurant called La Catrina. In the description it states the tour starts where it ends. Well, that is also not the case. The tour ends at the restaurant at the beach. So if you would like to make your way back to La Catrina restaurant where the tour states it begins and on this website ends, make sure you bring cash. You have to get a taxi to actually get back to where the tour “begins”. The food was good, especially the guacamole. The guacamole was extra so we got our bill and left a tip for the waiter who then proceeded to tell us that we are also required to tip the kitchen staff. I’m not sure when that became a thing or if the waiter was just wanting more money out of us but honestly at this point we just wanted to leave. Especially since some man approached us asking to purchase our 16 month old son. Will never go back to this place. I literally only chose this place for the snorkeling advertised and that wasn’t even an option. Then between not ending the tour where it started, tipping the kitchen staff, and money offered in exchange for our child, we just had enough. We contacted viator who said they would look into it but that was over a week ago and we haven’t heard anything. Good food, incorrect advertisement. Just wish we would have chosen something else to do.

It was ok - The service was very attentive. The ceviche was great. The sun was not out and the ambiance was not what we expected for the price. No swimming pool and the place was not at all what we expected. The massage was awesome! People nice though.

The truth! - I don't know where to start. First, the photo shown here, is not the place! This place is maybe 10ft wide by 50ft deep and PACKED with gross, broken chairs on the sand. We weren't given the option of sitting at a table. The second we sat down, a strange man walked up to my teenaged children and offered to sell them drugs. We tried to get the man to leave, but he kept coming back. In fact, everyone within a 100 yards came running to us, trying to peddle their goods. So it was highly stressful and impossible to relax for even a minute without someone walking up to you. We didn't get our food, we had 4 drinks. Taxi trip says no more than $8 for 4 people, another lie. The taxi driver tried to charge me $12 PER PERSON. I ended up paying him $4 per person ($16). The toilet didn't have a seat either. I would not recommend leaving the cruise port in Costa Maya at all, unless you're on a cruise guided tour. Refund requested, and granted.

Very dangerous place,... - Very dangerous place, very dirty and unkep. I've traveled all over Mexico for many years and this was one of the most unsafe places I've ever been. Do not look for anyone to speak English or to be able to help you. I'm a real person and I live in Pensacola Florida
