Great experience - We had a wonderful customized tour focusing mostly on the city's markets as we had already visited Meenakshi temple, I would 100% recommend it

Nice visit of the... - Nice visit of the Meenakshi temple.

A+, 5 stars, 100% Apprroval Rating - In the past two months I’ve gone onToursByLocals.com and Viator tours in Marrakesh, Fez & Casablanca Morocco, Cairo, Aswan & Luxor Egypt, plus now Bengaluru, Mysuru and Madurai India. And of them all, Dhanabalan Perumal, was one of my favorite guides. This is because he facilitated cultural immersion experiences for us rather than simply recited facts to establish context (although he was well prepared to provide regional, historical religious and other context too. With less than 12 hours of notice, I had to move our meeting time & he went out of his way to accommodate us. We had a fabulous time with him exploring the flower market, temples, and local cuisine. A+, 5 stars, 100% Apprroval Rating!!

Nice service given by Supervisor Muthu in F& B department - We received superb hospitality from the supervisor Muthu.

Evening Ceremony at Meenakshi Temple - The evening ceremony tour at the Meenakshi temple with Dhanabalan was great. You're alone in the huge complex. But with the right information from basic knowledge to information that you can only get from the local, everything made sense. I can only recommend the tour, Dhanabalan was very accommodating and it was important to him that I really understood everything and everything in perfect English. Thank you very much 👍

Very informative - much seen - very good guide - My guide arrived at the meeting point on time. First we toured the temple, we could use our mobile phones in a
Safely deposit gift shop. He was very knowledgeable, could explain very well in perfect English. We also visited the Palace of Tirumalai. He gave me a lot of time to take pictures. Also beautiful was the banana market and the ice cream parlor.

Meaningful tour in Minakshi temple - We had an excellent experience on our guided tour of the Meenakshi Temple in Madurai. The explanations were detailed, intresting, and delivered with great respect for Tamil Nadu and its unique heritage. We especially appreciated the focus on Tamil culture and history, which was presented as a rich and distinct tradition. The perspective gave us a much deeper understanding of the essence of Tamil identity.
At the temple, every story, detail, and location was explained with clarity and depth. It was clear that the knowledge shared came from true professionalism and passion for the subject. The tour not only helped us appreciate the temple itself, but also connected us to the cultural spirit of Tamil Nadu. Overall, it was a truly memorable and meaningful experience

Great English and vast knowledge - Dhanabalan knows English very well, his knowledge on the culture is vast and he pass it on a very exciting way, it's clear he does what he loves the most.
He also have many amazing recommendations for things to do in the area of Madurai.

Very rude secularly checking - I visit the temple on my birthday January 10th the one thing that is making me so upset and feeling bad is the security check, I can understand it's because of the safety but the negligence of the security should not affect the worshippers or the visitor.
Like a mention on the top I visit the temple on my birth day so I was fasting and I decide to have food only after temple visit, I was carrying some bread banana and water with me one of the security he told me it's not allowed inside I understood then he ask me to scan the food items then come back to the clock room and you can keep your food here. I went to the scan the food and me, once I done scanning I came back to the clock room and keep my food items inside the locker I'm going back again throw the same gate one of the security he ask me to go through the another gate for another checking I didn't say anything there I went through that gate, again the second round of physical checking finished and I walk inside the temple. Once I get inside the temple after few minutes another security call me back again to the entrance, and the first person who check me he want to ask me did you finish your second round checking when you are coming back from the clock room what is that it's there responsibility or duty to check whether the worshipper finish their security checking or not it's not the right way to call the worksheet for back to the entrance and asking did you finish your checking when you are coming back it's there duty if someone is passing through the checking gate ok he finish his checking and he is going they need to know about that is not a right way to call someone back and asking did you do the checking there is a lot of facilities cameras and everything why they are doing like this it's such a bad experience only in the entrance I'm not telling them to not to check but the way I pass the entrance I felt like I'm going inside a jail and I am a criminal because they are treating like that
