A great first experience! - This was a great show if you have never seen flamenco in person. It was a very intimate and unique setting in what I would assume is an old wine cellar. The staff was very attentive and the dancers and musicians provided great intensity and passion for their craft. Was also nice cause it was just the performance and drinks and we didn’t have to worry about eating during the show.

Magical Evening of Flamenco! - This performance exceeded our expectations! It was an intense, improvised interaction between the musicians, the dancers, and the singers that created a magical evening for us. A highlight of our time in Madrid and we would definitely recommend it!

Enjoyable Experience. - I was hesitant to go to a flamenco show, assuming it was going to be overly touristy. Well, let's be honest - the show is for tourists. However, it didn't feel dumbed down or tacky, and both my husband and I enjoyed it. Your ticket includes a free adult beverage, and you are brought downstairs to a brick cave-like room. It was small but not claustrophobic. This isn't an hour straight of flamenco dancing. The show begins with a brief history of flamenco, in both English and Spanish. This is followed by short vignettes of drumming, guitar and dancing. I liked this approach as it let each of the performers have the spotlight during the show. The performers showed emotion and there was a lot of energy in the performance. I recommend this show. It gave us a bit of connection to Spain and is the type of show you aren't going to see anywhere else.

Fabulous show! - We were welcomed immediately with a drink and snack. Then after a few minutes were taken downstairs to the show. It was incredible! There is just nothing else like it! It’s a must do while in. Spain!

Great First Time Flamenco Experience - Very much enjoyed the show at Essential Flamenco. I appreciated the history of the dance beforehand and the way the show was done, in an intimate setting was very cool. I felt very connected to the artistry of the dancers, singer and musicians. It really did feel very authentic. It’s also located in a nice area that has plenty of dining options for afterwards or before.

Great show. Don’t miss it - Way better than expected and will be a truly amazing show for all to see. Intimate atmosphere in a basement setting that echos the power of the flamenco dance, music and sound. The complementary drink is an added bonus, or go to the Matador bar across the street.

Amazing dance by both of them. We loved it. - Loved it. Amazing dance. Both he and she were so talented and danced until they sweated. The final combination dance was so intensive and mind blowing.

Turn on the air conditioner! - Meh. Too much screwing around, not enough of the girl dancing. I would have preferred a shorter show without having to watch the guy dance. Plus, it is very warm in there.
