An amazing trip to San Lorenzo de El Escorial and the Valley of the Fallen - We went to a trip to San Lorenzo de El Escorial and the Valley of the Fallen. Our guide was Pilar and the driver Antonio. The whole experience was incredible, with Pilar being detailed and engaging all throughout both places. The monastery of San Lorenzo is amazing and huge, and Pilar showed and explained a lot about its history, culture and importance to the Spanish people. For the second part of the trip, we went to The Valley of the Fallen. It’s not just the sheer size and emotional side of the whole complex - which is utterly monstrous and overal terrifying, but the way Pilar guided us through it, giving some many insightful, interesting details about it. The best part of this Valley is the view from there to the mountains - amazing and beautiful. Truly recommend Pilar, as we enjoyed this trip. Branko & Saša
