A wisp of the cities of Spain - The start of the tour was a bit stressful cuz the bus was late due to weather but it was all worth it. The sites were amazing. It was my first time visiting Segovia and Avila. The tour guide was awesome! Alfredo was able to explain everything clearly and in an interesting manner. A tour to definitely to go back.

Enjoyable trip to Segovia - Really enjoyed our trip to Segovia. Our coach was spotless and our driver Pedro was excellent. Alex kept us entertained with his commentary on our journey and split us into two groups when we arrived for our walking tour, Spanish and English speaking. I joined the English speaking group and our guide was a local lady called Aranta (Sorry if I have this wrong). She made the tour so interesting and was obviously very proud of her hometown. We had approximately 2 hours and 45 minutes in Segovia which was fine if your time is limited. Personally, I would have liked a little longer there in order to visit either the castle or the Cathedral. A great trip and good value if you have limited time in Madrid but want to get a taster of what else there is to see in this historic part of Spain.

Segovia all day - Picked up at 9am after a little struggle understanding bus stop meeting point. Nice bus to Segovia and the aqueduct, church, castle, town all amazing. Only complaint was rainy and cold and the bi-lingual guide (who struggled with English) repeated everything in both languages while we stood in the cold drizzle trying to stay warm. Be aware, departure time was 7pm...it’s an all day thing. Guide was nice to help get me water bottle back that was left on the bus.

A Tour That Felt Rushed - Segovia itself was amazing. This specific tour was only about 1 hour and a half and we had the rest of the day to ourselves (another 6 hours). This was the half day tour but it in fact was a whole day because the bus didn't come for us until 5pm. Although our tour guide was very nice and very informative, he was a bit hard to understand and we didn't have headphones like other tours so you really had to stay close to him while he was speaking. It was a very long 8 hr day and only an hour and a half was the tour. Just FYI. We obviously decided to make plans throughout the city but there were other tours that were better and worthwhile. Beautiful place though!

Day tour of Segovia - I had hoped having a guide would help navigate the beautiful city of Segovia and learn more than I would from simply taking a guidebook. I was wrong. First, the guide - Alec- was very nice and I’m sure is quite knowledgeable. Unfortunately, his explanations were very brief and cursory- probably due to the fact that he was speaking in Spanish and English and so it took twice as long to say half as much. He also said the cathedral was “not open” for visiting so skipped it. Turned out it’s open to the public- as we discovered on our own later in the day. So glad we didn’t listen to him. The trip back was on an unheated bus- after standing in cold rain waiting for it. Save your money- take your own bus or high speed train from Madrid (it’s only 30 minutes) and a good guide book and you’ll be much happier.
