Best fishing in Florida! - As usual, Hubbard's Captain and crew went above and beyond to provide an excellent fishing experience. I am a new angler and, Hubbard's is like no other fishing charter that they provide the most useful fishing information that you may use ! They literally teach you how to fish with online videos, who else does that?

Grate to be out on the water ! - Captain and Crew were Grate. Extended the trip to 12 hours due to nice weather. Caught a lot of fish. Some nice big red grouper.

Awesome fishing trip! - Captain Sebastian and Paul were awesome on the boat today! We did a private 8 hour and did great on red grouper. They were very knowledgeable, helpful and fun. We will book with them again!

Wonderful experience! - We were greeted by the crew and given a pre-boarding orientation as to what to do and not to do as well as the reasonable expectations of what the day was going to look like. Later once onboard we were also given a demonstration of how to use the reels effectively. We visited several reefs and ledges and once the biting stopped the captain quickly moved us to another and so there were plenty of opportunities to catch fish. We caught a nice size red grouper, porgies, lane snappers and plenty of large sized grunts. You do not have to worry about what to eat since you can order hamburgers and sandwiches at the galley. Although you are not allowed to bring alcohol aboard you may also purchase beer from the galley. The crew is wonderful and they seem to have developed a very nice relationship with all the regulars so if you become one you will be able to experience that. I highly recommend the trip.

Great day on the water. - Boat captain worked hard to get us fish. We all caught plenty of fish. The deck hands were awesome, especially Skipper. She never slowed down the entire day. Exceptional trip.

Great experience with a awesome family company! - This was our 4th fishing trip with Hubbard's Marina. We have gone on their 5 hour trip, and 2 previous 39 hour trips. This year we were on the 10 hour hog fishing trip and had a great experience, both my son and I were able to catch hogfish, gray snapper, and both red and gag grouper. Too bad grouper were out of season. Captain Sal and Scrapps were very attentive and really involved in helping everyone catch fish! It was a fun and entertaining experience. We also went on another 39 hour trip just 3 days later, just like our prior trips going deep we had a blast! The 39 hour trips are excellent for getting away for a couple of days and not have to worry about the phone interfering with a great opportunity to get into big fish! This has become our annual trip and because Hubbard's marina always does their absolute best at informing people of what to expect and how to get the fish in the box! We will continue to visit Hubbard's marina for many years!

Nice Day of Fishing on a Beautiful January Day - Overall a very good experience. The pros: Captain and Mate were excellent…friendly, accommodating, knowledgeable, very helpful and very pleasant. The ship was comfortable, but please note: we went on the 40’ boat usually used for charters since one of the larger party boats was in dry dock for repairs…so I can tell you that I was more comfortable on this ship than a number of other similar sized boats I’ve taken for all-day trips. Comfortable seating on soft cushions and the boat handled a fairly rough Gulf sea with no problems. Easy to find and parking garage right across the street. Captain and mate cleaned the fish for a very reasonable price very quickly after getting back to the marina. The fares charged were reasonable. With bait, rod rental and parking included it would be less than $200…not bad for a 10-hour trip. The cons: I’m not sure if this is common for the area or specific to Hubbard, but we were told to leave our smart phones in our cars. They do this because they have some kind of paranoia about someone stealing their GPS coordinates to the fishing grounds. So this meant no photos and no phone calls. We did only fairly as far as catching the preferred target species such as hogfish and grouper. Yes, there is no guarantee ever on what you will catch, but I could have caught gray snapper and sand perch on a half-day boat not so far out to sea. There is only one commode below deck with no privacy (attention ladies). The only nearby bathroom in the marina was a one-man public toilet attached to the parking garage…this created a problem while we were waiting for the fish to be cleaned as we were also competing with the Johns Pass tourists using it too. I don’t know why they didn’t send us to their store for toilet facilities. 14 adults on a 40’ boat was crowded…they should limit it to 12. All of us were experienced fisherman, so it wasn’t a huge problem, but with inexperienced folks, tangles would have been really bad. Overall, this was a pleasant experience and I would return again, but please be aware of the smart phone ban and toilet facilities. Also, opt for the live bait for the extra charge…those who were using the live shrimp and pinfish were catching more than those who were using the squid and frozen herring. Sorry, no photos to share as I had to leave my phone behind and the crew took no pics for us with their phones. Back at the marina, some fishermen ran to their cars in the parking garage to get their phones and take pics of their catch. If you think the smart phone ban is stuck in my craw, you are right!!! It seems so petty and one might take umbrage to the distrust.
