Beaujolais magic - The day was perfect! Francois is a superior professional. Our tour stayed on time without pressure, saw two very different and fabulous places, and we learned so much. Francois is so comfortably knowledgeable. Just ideal.

Definitely Book This!! - Don’t miss this excursion! We had the most amazing day touring the two chateaus and having lunch in Blois. Our tour guide Sam was amazing. He gave us history while driving to the chateau as well as providing us with plenty of down time in Blois to have lunch. Adorable little flea markets were set up we bought so many gifts and everyone was so nice and helpful in town.

Great Overview of the Beaujolais Region - Great tour, and we loved our guide Rachel. She was not only very knowledgeable about the wines of the region but also about the history of Lyon which she told us about on the ride to the first winery. The two wineries were very different, the first very modern and the second smaller and family run. They were both very good. The length of the tour was just right. We did an all-day tour in Alsace later in our trip and we felt like it was too long. I would highly recommend this tour.

Well worth the morning spent - Excellent educational experience. The “classroom” experience was unique and rewarding and fun. The scenery was gorgeous. The tastings were excellent. Our guide, Francois, was very knowledgable about wine and the areas we visited

book directly with Tasty Lyon - Tour was fun - you take a mini wine tasting class in a winery that teaches about smell, acid/fruit, etc. Guide was great. Taste about 25 wines in 2 wineries. Unfortunately it was a little rushed. I booked through Get your Guide and the customer service is terrible. Book directly with Tasty Lyon

The perfect length for a great wine tour - Our wonderful guide welcomed the 8 of us with a map and a little background information. We hopped in the minivan for about a 40 minute drive. The first spot (Chateau ee Pizay) was really great - it has a sensory experience that really teaches the basics of wine in a fun hands-on way. Take your time reading the placards, doing the activity, then taking the little test at each station. We tasted several Beaujolais and gained a lot of understanding about the chardonnay and gamay from the regions. Then we headed off for a short 10 min drive to a second location. Beautiful grounds 5 generations of wine makers, it also has a spa/hotel on site. Cave Christophe Savoye /Morgan. All the while we enjoyed good wine, great information, and fun sharing with each other all facilitated very well with our guide who moved seamlessly in English to a bit of French for the couple from Montreal.

À votre santé! - Good guide - Rachel - and the two stops at Villefrance market and the Fleurie winery - Domaine de la Madone - were very interesting with generous tastings of samples of food with wine at the market and half a dozen Fleurie wines. The visit became a bit rushed at the end - would have preferred less time at the market and more time to see the countryside and some of the other cru villages.

Good trip - Our guide, Rachel, was wonderful. Nice to get out of the city and experience some of the countryside. Did not love any of the wines we tasted, but did learn about Beaujolais. .
