Best Tour Guide In Egypt - Not only is Karnak Temple the largest and grandest of all in Egypt but its size and majesty is hard to grasp until you are there. We saw it the night before at the Sound and Light Show which is very nice, but it cannot be really seen and grasped except in the daytime. We have had excellent tour guides from Emo, Egypt Tailor Made and Luxor Travels but the best of all was Saber Hamed at Luxor Travels. He has been a certified egyptologist for 28 years and it showed. His explanation, in detail, of all that we saw was superb and overall the tour guides at Luxor Travels were the best with good english. Also, this tour allowed time at the Luxor Museum which the others do not. You want to spend at least an hour at the museum. This is a great tour to combine with the Valley of the Kings Tour that takes you to the tombs of King Tut and Nefertari which cannot be missed but cannot reasonably be done in one day.

Luxor East Bank - This tour was fantastic. Our guide Khalid was a wealth of knowledge and brought stories to life as we viewed the temples. He arrived early to the hotel and was always thinking ahead on what our needs might be. The pace was just right and we never felt rushed. He went above and beyond trying to help locate a store for a unique cd purchase and he is a great picture taker too.

Our tour guide also organized our cab trip to the airport - which was cheaper than if our hotel or if we did it on our own. Organize cab to and from airport via viator - much more cost effective!

He actually worked with an archaeologist on a dig in Luxor and he definitely knows what he's talking about. The Karnak Temples were amazing, as was everything else we saw!!!
