Very nice tour - Super nice tour and lots to see. Once again we had the best tour guide ever. Jousef was able to tell us everything about the history and was always there if we had questions or needed anything else. I would do this tour again and again and would prefer to only do it with Jousef.

Not worth the money you pay, everything is rushed and they will try to scam you out of money. Also transfers are not on time or - First of all we were not given our pick up time until just under 5 hours before our pickup was due. We were told at 10.45pm that we would be collected at 3.30am which gave us little time to sleep before the journey. Secondly our transfer was over 30 mins late and there was no one to contact to find out what was going on. When we finally got picked up it wasn't by the company we were told it would be and was a small mini bus, we then drove 30 mins before we arrived at our coach, which also was not the name of the company we were told the night before. The drive is long and uncomfortable with the driver and assistant there helping being loud and telling us to put our reclining seats up, meaning we were unable to get any sleep. He did however allow other passengers to keep their seats reclined for whatever reason. We were supposed to have a stop on the way at a cafe where we intended to get breakfast, however this stop only lasted 5 mins which meant we couldn't get any food at all. When we finally got to luxor and got out it was all a rush to get from place to place. There was some very good information given by our guide Abdul, however with the amount there was to see at the temple of karnak, it felt like we did not get any chance to explore. We then moved on to a nile trip which in itself was quite good, however when they tell you that you can see monkeys and crocodiles, what they mean is animals in small cramped cages with no enrichment, or baby animals which you can pay to hold. They don't give you much option to refuse this but we felt it was not worth the money after we went. We also were told we needed to pay 2700 Egyptian pound for entrance fees for the temples which actually only came to 1750 when looking at ticket prices. After our nile trip we we had another stop for 5 mins to take photos, then a visit to hatshepsut temple where every single Egyptian we came across wanted a tip for showing you 'special areas' or posing for photos. They ask you to follow them or try to do something nice for you and then expect a tip which we had most of the day also but was especially bad in this area. We also stopped at a place where you can buy genuine 'alabaster' carved souvenirs/figures. They tell you throughout the trip not to pay the £1 Street vendors because they scam you, however they do just this at their factory. Do not be fooled by the guides who tell you they are genuine as you can pay 10x less for exactly the same product in other shops. Finally we visited Valley of the Kings, which is nothing like the photos you see. Yes the tombs are amazing and the colour of the carvings is phenomenal, however this was also very rushed and the drivers who take you there and back also expect a considerable tip if you ride in the front. Overall the experience was poor and not at all what we expected, we felt ripped off and rushed around all day and yes we are glad for the experience but would not recommend it. There is so much to see in luxor and not enough time in a single day, especially in the first temple. Its very hot also, so be prepared.
