- Temple of Karnak - At approximately 5:00 a.m., your tour guide will pick you up in a comfortable, air-conditioned minibus. A knowledgeable German-speaking Egyptologist will join the group. The journey to Luxor takes about 4 hours, passing through the Nile valley with views of fields and farmers’ homes. This excursion is conducted in a small group, with a maximum of 8 participants. Your guide will be available throughout the trip to answer any questions. Upon arrival in Luxor, our first stop will be the Karnak Temple, the largest temple complex in Egypt, located on the eastern bank of the Nile. One of the most significant areas of the temple is the large columned hall. The complex is divided into three walled sections: the Amun area (ancient Egyptian Ipet-sut, “place of election”), the Month area, and the Courage area. The oldest visible remains of the temple date back to the 12th dynasty under Sesostris. The temple complex was expanded and rebuilt multiple times until the Roman Empire. Notable among the ruins are the temples of Amun-Re with its ten pylons. You will also see the sacred lake, measuring 120 × 77 meters, located south of the central temple building and fed by groundwater. Admire the large columned hall, statues, pylons, and obelisks.
- Valley of the Kings - After lunch, we will drive to the Valley of the Kings, situated about 5 kilometers northwest of Luxor. In ancient Egypt, the Valley of the Kings was known as the “Sechet-aat large field.” The valley contains over 70 tombs carved into the rock, primarily the tombs of rulers from the New Kingdom (circa 1550 to 1069 BC) of the 18th to 20th dynasties. To protect the mummies, they were relocated in the 22nd dynasty and hidden in other tombs. In 1922, the largely intact tomb of Tutankhamun was discovered. Systematic exploration and excavation of the tombs began with Napoleon’s expedition to Egypt. The Valley of the Kings is a major tourist attraction in Egypt. Only a portion of the tombs is open to visitors, as some are closed for conservation. Since December 2009, photography and filming have been prohibited, but since 2018, photography without flash is allowed with the purchase of a photo permit for around 15 euros.
- Colossi of Memnon - After visiting the Karnak temple complex, we will proceed to the famous Colossi of Memnon. Known in Arabic as “el-Colossat or es-Salomat,” these two adjacent statues date back to the 14th century and depict King Amenophis III seated on a throne, facing the Nile. The statues stand approximately 18 meters high, including the base.
- Temple of Hatshepsut at Deir el Bahari - Our final stop will be the terrace temple complex of Hatshepsut. Hatshepsut, an ancient Egyptian queen of the 18th dynasty, reigned from 1479 to 1458 BC. Her spouse was Thutmoses II. The name Hatshepsut means “The first of the noble women who embraced Amun.” The entire temple is constructed of limestone and is the best-preserved temple on the west bank in Thebes. At around 4:00 p.m., we will begin our return journey, bringing you back to your hotel with wonderful and memorable experiences.

Excellent execution of what they promised! - The five of us had a great tour not only looking at these beautiful locations and national treasures, but hearing the stories and small details which made the history come alive for us! Would definitely recommend to families with teenagers.

Great experience to fully enjoy Egyptian culture in one day. - We booked a day trip to Luxor. Brief summary: A really great experience for the whole family. We had "Nasch', a guidebook that studied Egyptology and gave us great insights into the culture. Not only was his knowledge of the culture great, but also of the local processes - we didn't have to queue anywhere in a long line. Important also: With "Helal' we had a driver who took us safely from the hotel to Luxor and back.

Eye-opening journey into experiences and knowledge that can only be obtained through the guide and no other sources - The Naschaat was an excellent guide. I have noticed that he is fully motivated with passion. He was also able to pass on a great deal of knowledge. He does those kinds of work himself, where he finds things. That's why he can tell us something that you wouldn't otherwise know in any other source. I am grateful to Naschaat for his generosity, which is not expected from guidebooks in general. He surpassed these. The openness was how he talks about Arabs or Iranians. He dares to speak his mind openly. When a Dr. Prof. tells something incredible, where I would have always thought it was a conspiracy theory, Naschaat's words were enough, because he is enough credible with his high title and his own works. I believe him, of course, that these incredible things are true. He's just Prof. Dr. and has just done his own work on it. Thank you for the mummy cloth used to wrap the mummies. The one mummy fabric even had blood on top and that makes it even more valuable.
Helal was a very nice driver. He knew perfectly where to buy which vegetables and fruits and at what price.

Valley of the Kings - Naschaat was a very nice tour guide. Has been able to tell us a lot about the Valley of the Kings, the Tomb Suppers and also about the temples we visited. Since we arrived early, we had no waiting times and we got through everywhere very well.
We would do this trip again anytime!

Unforgettable Luxor excursion with Nile cruise – highly recommended! - We were very lucky to take a private day trip to Luxor with Zakharious Tours – and it was a real highlight of our trip! The organization was top, the ride pleasant and relaxed.
In Luxor we were welcomed by Naschaat, a real archaeologist (no ordinary guide!) – what a luxury! With a lot of heart, humor and enormous knowledge, he brought Egyptian history to life so that we completely immersed ourselves in another time. It never got boring – on the contrary: exciting, entertaining and deeply impressive. We also found his book recommendations, which he wrote himself – perfect for reading and remembering.
Our tour took us to the Temple of Luxor, the Valley of the Queens and a short, beautiful Nile cruise. Another highlight was the traditional Egyptian food, which was simply delicious.
Individual, flexible, warm, but real experience.
Unlimited recommendation for anyone who discovers Egypt with depth and soul.

Journey through history - They picked us up very early, the ride was extremely pleasant and the drivers were very hard at work.
We have had Mr Neschaat as a tour guide before - he is a real treasure.
With his valuable knowledge, he started our journey wonderfully.
Thanks to him, we have experienced a journey through history.
Lunch and the Nile cruise were also first class.
I would like to award more than five stars!
